It has been truly said that ‘In every walk with Mother Nature one receives far more than he seeks’. All our beauty solutions are present in nature itself, we just have to find them. Today I will be reviewing another natural product, which Mother Nature has bestowed on us. Khadi has brought us this miraculous product ‘Wheat Germ Oil’. I bought this product from a Khadi store, while I strolled around the showroom. Since, I was aware of the health benefits of Wheat Germ Oil I always wanted to try this oil. It was not expensive, so I immediately brought one in my possession. The Wheat Germ Oil is extracted from Wheat Germ where germ is the reproductive part of the plant, which grows into tree. Here I will be focussing more on the beauty benefits instead of health benefits.

Wheat germ oil is rich in Vitamin E, which makes it an ideal carrier oil for skin that is out of condition or has been exposed to sun or environmental damage. It is a popular choice to help prevent stretch marks. Wheat Germ oil is suitable for application to scars, as well as areas of problem dry skin such as elbows and knees. When it is applied topically on to the skin it helps promote the formation of new cells, improve circulation, and to help repair sun damage to the skin. It is also used to relieve the symptoms of dermatitis.
For external use only.

My Experience with Khadi Wheat Germ Oil:
This is for the first time I have tried Wheat Germ Oil, therefore I was not aware of its properties. On research I came to know that it has a dark colour and strong odour. But, this Khadi Oil is translucent oil, with a slight aroma. So, I can figure out that this one is the diluted version of oil. But, the carrier oil is not mentioned anywhere in the bottle. This is something which makes me sceptical about the product.
The bottle comes in a neat packaging with a transparent plastic container, which is cuboidal shaped. It has a silver screw cap apart from a plastic lid (air tight), which seals it very tightly. This makes the oil spill proof and very sturdy for travelling and storing. Oil should be stored in dark and cool places because of it’s sensitivity to light and temperature variations, thus preventing any chemical reactions. I wonder why they have stored it in a transparent bottle, they should have stored it in a dark coloured bottle. Maybe the diluted version is not as much photosensitive as the original one. The oil is not very greasy, hence can be used on face with some base cream.
I use it for my under eyes that has premature fine lines, along with almond oil and I see them disappearing. This oil can be mixed with your daily creams, hair oils and gels to boost more nutrients in it. I have started to apply this oil on my stretch marks too and hope it clears them in a few months. People with wheat or gluten allergy should not use this oil.
Anyway let me revise the product features.
