Khadi Whitening Scrub with Badam and Aloe Vera Review

Khadi Whitening Scrub with Badam and Aloe Vera Review

Hello Lovely Ladies,

How many of you love your skin after scrubbing, raise your hand. I knew you love scrubbing, now keep your hands down and read on the review. Like you, I also love smooth skin and so I scrub my face twice a week at least. I was getting bored of my Everyuth Walnut Scrub and looking for a substitute when I saw the Khadi whitening scrub with Badam and Alove Vera on one online shopping site.  I quickly ordered it as Khadi is said to have herbal ingredients.

Khadi Whitening Scrub with Badam and Aloe Vera Review

Price:

Rs. 165 for 210 gm (I got it for 10% discount price).

Product Description:

An ayurvedic almond-based face scrub which imparts natural nourishment effect to the skin.  Removes blackheads and scars from the skin.

Method of Use:

Rub the scrub on face, elbow and neck gently with finger tips in circular motion for 5-6 minutes and clean with moist cotton. Don’t rub on acne or pimples.

Ingredients:

Prunus Amygdalus, Symploces Racemosa, Rosa Alba, Aloe vera Tourn, Glycerin, Sodii Biboras, Base, Preservative, Juglans Regia, Purified Water.

My Experience with Khadi Whitening Scrub with Badam and Aloe Vera:

When I took out the scrub to use, the first thing I noticed was that it had smaller grains than the walnut scrub and had a creamier base. I applied it all over my face and neck and started massaging in a circular motion.  I was able to feel the grains (almond particles??) working on my skin, which gave me a satisfactory feel. The scrub was very creamy and so it was very easy to work it on the skin.

This scrub also has some rose/some flowery kind of pleasant smell in it, which feels good while scrubbing. It is not an overpowering smell, so no issue for sensitive nose. When I washed my face, my skin was smooth.  There was no stretchy or dry feeling and my skin felt quite moisturized.  I think girls with dry skin will love this property of the scrub.  I have oily skin and so I did not like this creamy feel so much and ended up using a face wash after that.

Packaging is typical of Khadi products; transparent plastic bottle with a black flip open cap.  Somehow, the packaging did not look so sturdy to me, I will be scared to take it with me while travelling.

Scrub 1

The product claims to remove blackheads and scars, which is not very true, as it is really difficult to remove blackheads just with a face scrub. Yes, it works on white heads and removes dead skin, giving smooth and glowing skin. It is a medium granule size scrub with granules which are not very harsh or mild.
Consistency is creamy and not runny.

Pros of Khadi Whitening Scrub with Badam and Aloe Vera:

  • Works well as a scrub, not very harsh on skin, neither very mild.
  • Gives smooth, clean, and glowing skin.
  • Removes whiteheads, not very sure about the scrub removing blackheads though.
  • Has a pleasant smell.
  • Not a lot of product needed every time.
  • Very creamy texture, works easily on skin without hurting.
  • Ayurvedic product, as khadi claims.
  • Very economical.

Cons of Khadi Whitening Scrub with Badam and Aloe Vera:

  • It is named “whitening” scrub, but did not see any whitening effect.  I feel it will be too much to expect from a scrub to make my skin white, but it has almonds, and that’s good for skin.
  • Availability can be an issue; though online it’s easily available.

Final Verdict on Khadi Whitening Scrub with Badam and Aloe Vera:

This is a decent scrub at a very economical price, good for daily use. Its creamy consistency and moisturizing properties make it an idle choice for dry skin beauties. For this price, I think everyone can give it a try as it works well too as a scrub.

IMBB Rating:

3.5/5 (points taken as I have oily skin and it makes me use face wash after scrubbing).  For dry skin, I give it 4/5.

  1. scrubbing is supposed to give you a more even skintone as dead skin cells accumulated over the years can have the appearance of natural skin, only darker. So, in that way a scrub/exfoliant is a skin whitening product. i am always looking for the perfect scrub so thanks for the review!

  2. Hey this is my favorite product too..!!! I was just thinking to start writing an article with product..:P ! Anyways good review.. 🙂 I have oily skin too, so i avoid using it on my face. Works awesome to get rid of tan and dead skin on hands and neck! 😀

  3. Hey ncie review! I have tried Khadi ka jasmine body lotion n i must sa I am super duper Disappointed with it so m kindof a bit Pessimist whn it comes to any khadi product now..

    1. Oo thats sad nidhi but not all the khadi products are tht bad. I am using khadi kesar gel scrub which Rati has reviewed and it is very nice and satisfactory.
