Kiehl’s Abyssine Cream+

Hello Beauties, I was down with viral infection and really missed IMBB. Never mind now I am recovering and would like to share my thoughts on a product from kiehl’s. It is from there Abyssine line. It is called Abyssine Cream+

I am in a process of transition. I am incorporating kiehl’s products one by one into my skincare. So far all the products did well except the kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer Gel Cream 🙁 You can see the review on IMBB. Okay, coming back to this product. It is a night moisturizer with anti aging properties. Read on to see how I feel about this product.

My Experience with Kiehl’s Abyssine Cream+

As I said, I have been replacing my old skincare with Kiehl’s and more or less I am happy with the change. Kiehl’s have come up with a new line Abyssine, this is a first product that I have tried from Abyssine line. It is a very rich moisturizer with Anti- Aging properties. Though I do not have any wrinkles or fine lines but I prefer using a thick and an anti aging one at night. This proved to be a good option. I had tried this earlier when I got a sample of this with my other purchase.
Anyways, I use this as a night moisturizer. I feel it is rich in texture and if I use it in the morning it feels little heavy also it is mainly a night moisturizer but it is ok to use it in the morning, if you have very dry skin. It has a very thick texture. It is white in color and doesn’t have a strong odor. A little amount is enough to cover my dry combination skin/ sensitive skin. It absorbs quickly. It feels light on my skin. However, it might feel little heavy on oily skin types especially in summers. I do not have wrinkles or fine lines so can’t say how effective it is for those issues but I do feel it gives a smooth feeling on the face. I would say people who have fine lines should try this.

Having said that, for me it is only a rich creamy moisturizer that gives me a satisfaction that I have anti aging in my skincare other than that there are other moisturizers that are cheap. For people who do not have wrinkles etc it is just another moisturizer. People who are looking for a thick and anti-aging night moisturizer would love this product.

Pros of Kiehl’s Abyssine Cream+

• Loaded with Anti-Aging properties.
• Moisturizing
• Skin looks radiant after application.
• Absorbs nicely into skin.
• Minimized pores

Cons of Kiehl’s Abyssine Cream+

• Pricey
• Little heavy for oily skintypes.
• No full ingredient list.

Would I be repurchasing Kiehl’s Abyssine Cream+?
I guess No! Not because I don’t like it, but it is going to last me for 4-5 months and I would try a different one.

Overall, it is a great moisturizer with Anti- Aging properties. It moisturizes skin well and feels light. Though it is expensive, as it is Kiehl’s! I would still suggest people with wrinkles or who need anti-aging moisturizer to give this a try.
