Today’s review is on Kiehl’s cucumber herbal alcohol-free toner. Toner is a very important step of our skincare routine. I have problematic skin. I am always searching for a toner that can help improve my skin texture and keeps a balance. Kiehl’s is one of the brands that are very generous when it comes to giving samples. I got this product as a compliment on my purchase at kiehl’s. Read on to see how it works.

Key Ingredients:
Allantoin is a compound that is found in Comfrey Root. The comfrey plant is a hairy perennial Eurasian herb long used in herbal medicine. Known to be a bacteria inhibitor, Allantoin can soothe and reduce inflammation in various product formulations

Calendula is extracted as oil from the common marigold flower. Its mild properties make it ideal for use on all oily skin types including sensitive skin. Soothes skin and is especially beneficial for delicate skin.

Cucumber Fruit Extract has long been known for its beneficial uses to the skin. (Cleopatra used cucumber juice to maintain her skin.) It is known to cool and refresh the skin, and has been shown to be moisture-binding, moisture-regulating and softening properties. It is used as a treatment for oily skin and for tired and stressed skin, and as skin refresher in sun preparations.

Application:
For use after washing to remove any residual cleanser or make-up or anytime as a freshener. Saturate a cotton pad with the toner and apply as needed.

My Experience with Kiehl’s Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner

As I said, I got it as a deluxe sample. I love complimentary products. I was very excited to try it as it says Cucumber herbal alcohol free toner. I have used the TBS for a long time (Tea Tree range). I love that toner but when it got over I started using Kiehl’s cucumber herbal alcohol toner. It has been almost 3 weeks and I still have product for another week.

The packaging of this product is great. It has a flip flop cap. It is a transparent bottle. It is Easy to carry without the fear of spilling it. It is a 40 ml bottle.

It doesn’t smell anything like a cucumber. But it smells quite strong of a usual toner but little organic. It is a green color toner. I put it twice on the cotton pad and it covers my face. I use it twice daily. It does shrink my pores. It does give a clean feel and soothes my skin. But I feel something is missing in this toner. I like the tingling feel of the toner on my face but this doesn’t do that. Maybe because it is alcohol free. I think it leaves some residue after use that I hate. Somehow I don’t get that perfect clean feeling with this toner. I am happy that I did not buy the full size and it is great I tried it first as sample. The only feel good factor would be, it alcohol free and has some herbal extract that naturally soothes skin.

No, maybe it is not for me!

Overall, this is a great product for toning the face after wash. I feel it leaves a little residue after use. I would still recommend this to people with dry & sensitive skin as it could be very comforting to those.
