Today I am reviewing a lip balm for a change. This one is in a summery mango flavor and it turned out to be the best night lip balm for me for all the wrong reasons. Anyway take a look:

This comes in a medicinal looking lip balm tube. The instructions and the ingredients everything gives it a medicinal look. Most Kiehl’s products look like this but they work great most of the time :p Anyway I am not very fond of the tube packaging and the screw cap which I tend to drop all the time and then it rolls under the bed.

The nozzle and the hole dispenses the product but it is not a lot of fun to apply it directly. You can apply it lightly with the finger. It smells of sweet mangoes and has a light yellow tint to it. IT reminds me Rasna in mango flavor.

The balm though looks not so runny, once you start applying it,it gets very runny and watery and very shiny. You actually need to dispense a very small amount, apply it and smear it lightly on the lips. IT somehow becomes a full blown wet lip look gloss rather than a balm. It is way to shiny to wear outside. It does not add any color.It bleeds around the mouth if you use too much,hence I use it lightly before bed.

I notice my lip color looks very very even in the morning. Pigmented lips can try it for sure. I also notice lips look pinker and there is not a single crack. Somehow overnight it works fine for me. On the other hand it does not work for me much in a shorter duration.It works simply okay when worn during the day.I am guessing it needs longer time to work to make chapped lips look smooth and pinker. SO for bedtime, this is great if you are okay with the runny and glossy finish it has.It almost transform to oil when you apply it.It could be quite messy.

I have normal non-pigmented lips tat seldom chap.
