Product Description:

This lightweight shampoo is infused with a blend of naturally-derived proteins and poly-sugar to revive and add body to thin and lifeless hair. Kiehl’s chemists have utilized the latest in hair care science – a volumizing complex that coats hair to impart a healthy, thicker appearance and vitality and combined it with the long relied upon benefits of Rice and Wheat Proteins to create fullness and body without stripping hair of natural lipids. With Pure Honey and conditioning extracts of Jojoba Seed and Rice Bran, our lightly foaming shampoo cleanses hair, leaving no weighty residue so it looks and feels healthier with a fuller and thicker appearance.

Hydrolyzed Rice Protein, Wheat Protein, Rice Bran Oil, Poly-Sugars, Jojoba Seed Extracts, Pure Honey.

My Take on Kiehl’s Rice and Wheat Volumizing Shampoo:

Look at the tagline at that bottle – for flat, thin or lifeless hair. Yup all of that just sums my hair. How could I not buy it? I ordered it online.  It comes in a simple flip-top bottle. The shampoo is a clear yellowish liquid. When you open the bottle the first thing that hits you is the sweet smell and it’s pretty strong. You either like it or hate it. I don’t mind it, don’t love it. The fragrance stays for quite a lot of time, even after you blow dry your hair. It foams just enough and cleanses your hair well. My hair and scalp feel squeaky clean. Now the million dollar question – does it “volumize” the hair? Yes it does. My hair gets all puffed up and if you have really flat hair like me, it will be such a joy to see your hair. Also, my hair has that extra shine when I use this shampoo but sadly it lasts just a day. And now the catch, it makes my hair dry. I tried using my regular conditioner after the shampoo, and the volumizeeffect was not the same. So I guess you have to buy the Rice & Wheat Conditioner too for even better results. But overall it was worth it.

Kiehls'

By the way, I was stumped to read the ingredients list on the bottle. I thought Kiehl’s was about natural ingredients.
