IMBB Sponsored Product Review

Hello dollies,

Birthdays are special and I wait for mine all through the year. This birthday of mine was different, as I was away from my family. Still, their well wishes and a few surprises kept my mood cheerful and happy throughout and made this birthday a memorable one. Coming to today’s product, the Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer is an IMBB Sponsored product for me. I bought it because I was looking for a good moisturizer for my combination skin which was feeling very dry after coming to USA.  I went for skiing and the cold weather and sun left my skin dry, burnt and red. Did the Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer rescue my skin, read on to find out.

My Experience with Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer Stress Minimizing Daily Hydrator:

Here, I would like to mention the difference between hydrator and moisturizer. Hydrator is something which gives hydration to the skin, but moisturizer is something which just locks the hydration which skin already has in it. Moisturizer does not add moisturization, it just saves the moisture from getting lost, but hydrator adds moisture to the skin. So, when I saw this hydrator, I felt this can be a saviour for me on those days when my combination to oily skin behaves a bit dry.

I used it for 2 nights and the results were good, just like any good moisturizer.  But then I went to extreme cold conditions and my skin was totally damaged with a lot of dry patches and redness.  I was relieved that this hydrator would be able to give my skin the much-needed hydration and rescue it from all the stress and it did it too. Just in 2 days, I saw reduction in redness and burning and by the end of week, my skin was free from redness and dry patches and slowly with continuous use, my skin came back to it’s earlier state.  So, I can say that it really takes care of skin’s stress, does take some time based on your skin condition, but you will see the results.

Talking about the texture, it feels heavy and creamy to touch, but once applied on the skin, it quickly gets absorbed and leaves skin with a dewy finish. For my combination skin which turns oily on T zone, these products feel a bit oily at times, especially when used under the makeup as base. So, I feel for combination skin, it might not be the perfect moisturizer to wear under makeup, but it might work that way wonderfully for very dry skin.  For my combination skin, the best way to use this is at night as a night cream.

It has the smell of roses in it, which somehow feels very plastic to me when I apply it on my skin. It comes with a pump dispenser which makes it a very practical, hygienic and easy to use packaging. It also has a small cap on top of the pump which makes sure that it does not leak out if pressed unknowingly.

In totality, I feel it’s a great hydrator which works on dry patches, redness and all kind of skin stress related to dryness. It has a small ingredients list which makes me think that there are a fewer chemicals in there. This does what it claims, which makes it an awesome moisturizer for dry skin or for people who live in very cold climates.  If you have combination skin which misbehaves sometimes, then you can keep it as a backup plan to rescue your skin from all the dryness and stress whenever needed.

Pros of Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer Stress Minimizing Daily Hydrator:

  • Does what it claims.
  • Rescues skin from dryness and redness within 2-3 days of regular use.
  • Dry skin beauties can use it as a makeup base too.
  • Gets absorbed into the skin quickly.
  • Hygienic, easy to use packaging.
  • Just two pumps are sufficient for full face and neck, a little goes a long way.

Cons of Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer Stress Minimizing Daily Hydrator:

  • Not for very oily skin.
  • Taking care of stress sounds too big. It actually deals with all sorts of dryness issues only.
  • Pricey.

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5 for dry skin, and 4/5 for normal skin.
