Hello gorgeous ladies!
One of the best things happened to me through IMBB is that I have become a bright lipstick lover from brown lipsticks lover. I can more confidently carry any color I desire now. In my biggest haul ever of KIKO, I got a few lippies too. Today’s review will be on KIKO #02 Pearly Vintage Rose Unlimited Stylo Long-Lasting Lipstick. Taking a small break from eyeshadows though. 😉

My Experience with KIKO #02 Pearly Vintage Rose Unlimited Stylo Long-Lasting Lipstick:
The lipstick comes in a black cardboard box. The number of the lipstick is mentioned at the top of the carton and the ingredients on the backside. The lipstick bullet is housed in a sleek, slim, metallic silver casing with the number of the lipstick at its bottom. Although the outer casing is metallic, it is in no way slippery while application. It has a twist up mechanism. The cap of the lipstick shuts with a click and hence would not open on its own and is very sturdy.
The lipstick seems to be right up to the brim and hence one must be very careful while closing the cap as it might rip off some piece of it. The name of the lipstick is mentioned on the website, but not on the lipstick itself or the carton. There is a small sticker on the lipstick casing representing the shade it belongs to, hence easy identification.
KIKO has a variety of options when selecting a lipstick comes. There are glossy ones, or mattes, or crème or say sheer. Many to choose from. Today’s lipstick is from their ‘Unlimited Stylo’ section. #02 is a beautiful rosy pink shade with mild brown undertones because of which it looks subtle and not a bright pink. An absolute gorgeous shade to wear to the office. There are no shimmers in it. The finish here is semi matte. Not matte enough to look dry or shiny enough to look glossy. Just the perfect balance between the two. It is super duper creamy. Trust me, just like semi solid butter. It will glide on the lips effortlessly. Absolutely no tugging or pulling.
Due to its creamy texture, it will look crumbled on lips that are not properly exfoliated. My thumb rule is to use a lip balm always. But, with this one, your lips feel hydrated for say about 2-3 hours. So, I generally always use a lip balm beneath this one. Pigmentation is good and the color can be built up with multiple layers. I would suggest 1 or 2 layers should be fine as more will make it feel a bit heavy on the lips.
The staying power is good and this lippie lasts about 5-6 hours. It fades a bit with munching and meals, but does not transfer much to cutlery. After few hours, it leaves a pinkish tint to the lips. I had to use a makeup remover to get rid of the residual lipstick after 8 hours. But, with water it would not go completely. It is not completely waterproof though. Also, for me, I feel it does settle into fine lines if I layer it many times. It has this yummy vanilla smell.
All in all, I loved the way it looks and feels on my lips.
