My Experience with KIKO #124 Pearly Dark Dove Gray Highly Pigmented Eyeshadow:
The eyeshadow comes in a small, plastic, round, black pan which has a lid attached to it. The lid is opaque and hence the actual color is not visible that easily. The pan is packaged in a cardboard carton. The ingredients are mentioned on the side of the cardboard carton in a small slip attached to it and the shade number is written on the top. The shade number is also mentioned at the bottom of the eye shadow pan. Although the name is mentioned on the website, it is nowhere to be seen on the eyeshadow pot or the carton.
Pearly Dark Dove Gray is a smoky burnt metallic greyish taupe shade. Sorry to describe it like that, but I want you to know all the possible colors it might belong to. It has this foiled eyeshadow kind of look which gives it a metallic touch. Again, an absolute pretty color to match Indian skin tones. There are no shimmer particles in it, but at the same time, the shade is not matte either. It has this very pretty subtle luminous look. Texture wise, it is velvety soft. It is not at all chalky or dry. The finishing after application is very smooth and even. It can be blended with ease with other colors as well.
It is super pigmented and even a single swipe gives complete justice to the color. It can be built up to darker shade by layering and it turns awesome metallic grey. One can work around the intensity, as desired. The staying power is good for around 4-5 hours after which it starts fading away. I would recommend using an eyeshadow base as it would not only enhance the staying power, but also bring out the brightness and metallic tint to its fullest. It did not crease on oily lids though. It is not completely waterproof either as you will need an eye makeup remover to remove it completely.
