Hello beautiful ladies!

Packaging:
The eyeshadow comes in a small round pan which has a lid to it. The pan is packaged in a plastic tray which secures it firmly and the tray is then packaged in a cardboard carton. One can either use the pan along with its lid or remove the lid and put the pan in a magnetic empty palette available separately with KIKO. The ingredients are mentioned at the back of the cardboard carton and the shade number is written at the top. The shade number is also mentioned at the bottom of the eye shadow pan. Although the name is mentioned on the website, it is nowhere to be seen on the eyeshadow pot or the carton.

My Experience with Kiko #239 Mat Gray Taupe Infinity Eyeshadow:

# 239 is a very basic taupe color with grey undertones. I am personally not very fond of such colors as they get really tricky while using and if you are not sure how to style them you might end up with dark circles created by the shade. But also if you are in the learning mode and love to experiment with eyeshadows like me, then colors like these are must for basic nude palettes. I don’t have many of the basic shades, and so I went ahead and bought it.

There is absolutely no shimmers in this eyeshadow. The texture is super soft. Although when and if you use your fingers to apply this shade, it might feel a bit chalky, but on the eyelids it is not. The finish is matte. It is super easy to blend away with other shades. Also depending on the kind of brush you use, this eyeshadow may break into powder. So either use your fingers or a soft brush.

The pigmentation is very good; a single swipe brings out the color on the lids. Also one can play around with its intensity by layering and it would not look cakey at all. The staying power is around 4-5 hours. It does look a little darker, I would say, when applied over an eyeshadow primer. Also the staying power increases a bit when applied on primer. It does not seem to crease on oily lids. #239 is not waterproof and can be easily removed with water as well.

I am not sure if one can use this shade as an overall on the lid as it might make your eyes and the area around it look hollow. But this shade, for sure, works wonders to add definition to your eyes; more importantly to the crease. I have used it on my eyelids to define the crease and also on the outer corner of the eyes in V shape and it makes your eyes look sharper. Overall I am learning to use such shades and although they are not an absolute must, they can be really helpful.

Cons of Kiko #239 Mat Gray Taupe Infinity Eyeshadow:
