Packaging:
The lipstick comes in a black matte cardboard box. The lipstick is housed in a metallic pearly bronze tube. The cap is in a similar metallic pearly silver color. The mechanism of this lipstick is a bit different and I have never seen something like this before. The cap closes on firmly and does not open easily on its own. To open you need to push the top of the cap and it eventually pushes the lipstick down. The cap closes with a click. The lipstick has twist-up mechanism. The lipstick is chubby but very travel friendly. The number of the lipstick is mentioned on the carton and the base of the lipstick. The name is mentioned on the website but not on the carton or the lipstick itself.

My Experience with KIKO Luscious Cream Lipstick #504 Raspberry:

Raspberry is nowhere close to its name. Reading the name, one might think it is pink and if you have seen Rati’s L’Oreal #MyPinkObsession post then this Raspberry is not the kind of raspberry you see in there. This one is more of a brick red brown. Say brick like brown with slight reddish tint. These lipsticks belong to the creamy range from KIKO. Although there are no shimmers in it and it has no shine or glossiness, the finish is not outright flat matte. It has this soothing shine which is not over the top, but at the same time not matte looking either. Somewhere in between. The mini chiselled shape of the bullet helps in better application.

The texture of these lipsticks is dream like soft. Extremely creamy and buttery. It is clearly evident when you see the bullet that how soft and creamy it is. On the other hand, the bullet is strong enough to not break during application. Raspberry glides like a dream on your lips. I always use a lip balm no matter what. But this range is creamy enough to feel moisturising for few hours after application, and does not feel dry immediately. Even though it is creamy, it does not crumble or settle into fine lines. It gives an opaque coverage in single application. I love the way it gives a sober and classy smooth finish.

The pigmentation is good and even in single application the color comes out pretty good. With multiple layering this shade tends to become more reddish. This shade is very light on lips and layering does not make it feel sticky or heavy at all. It stays around for 5-6 hours after which it fades away and leaves a reddish tint on the lips. It does transfer a bit to the cutlery. These are not waterproof and do not have any bothersome smell. This shade makes a good one for winters and sometimes when you don’t want to have bright lips around, this one surely makes a good choice.
