My Experience with Kiko Milano 304 Warm Pink Velvet Passion Matte Lipstick:
Let’s begin with packaging of the product as I have fallen in love with it. The lipstick comes in a black colored cardboard box, having all product details written on it in simple white fonts. Each and every necessary product information is written on the carton expect the shade name, only the shade number is mentioned on it. So, I had to check their website, for shade name of the respective shade no. Inside this box comes a very beautiful and attractive lipstick tube. The lipstick tube is colored. The metallic colors of the packaging complement each other very nicely and the matte finish makes the lipstick tube even more gorgeous. The cap is bullet grey in color and bears the brand name on it in simple white fonts.
The twist up thing of the lipstick works smooth. The base of the lipstick tube has a sticker on it mentioning its shade number. Though, the packaging has nothing like a color-coded body or sticker and they don’t even have the names of the lipsticks on it, and it gets difficult to remember the shade numbers. But, I am so much in love with the packaging, that I do not mind the above-mentioned things as actually a flaw. The cap of the lipstick has some magnet in it, so the cap fits with a quick magnetic grip and it does not come off while carrying around. Overall, the packaging is so innovative and travel friendly.
The shade “Warm Pink” is a subtle warm toned petal pink shade as its name suggests. The shade looks similar to my sugar lippies so I swatch sugar cosmetics it’s pout time peachy little liars vivid lipstick and sugar cosmetics rose dawson matte as hell crayon lipstick and found that this shade is somewhere in between both of those sugar’s shades. It is a gorgeous everyday shade for fair to medium skinned people. It looks very beautiful on the lips. The shade looks different on different skin tones. The lipstick is free from any sheen or shimmers. The pigmentation of the lipstick is good.
Though, it does not impart opaque coverage in one swipe. Therefore, two-three swipes gave a perfect opaque color to the lips hiding those ugly and pigmented lips. I have mildly pigmented lips and this lipstick perfectly covers the pigmentation. The lipstick has a very faint vanilla fragrance that is totally non-bothering and barely noticeable. The smell fades away in a few seconds.
The texture of the lipstick is silky smooth. The lipstick glides so effortlessly on the lips and does not cause any dragging of the lips. It feels buttery while gliding on the lips. It never tugs or pulls the lips. The texture is so lightweight and feels ultra-comfortable on the lips. The lipstick sets to a lovely velvety matte finish as it name indicates. It has a gorgeous creamy matte finish. I love the texture and finish of this lip color. Though, it is creamy matte but it has the tendency to cling to the dry patches and highlight them badly. This happens to every matte lipstick.
So, it is mandatory to exfoliate and moisturize the lips well else it might look ugly on the lips. The highlighted dry patches of the lips make it look cheap. The lipstick has good moisturization and hydration properties. My lips never feel dry with this lipstick on my lips. My lips stay moisturized all the time after applying this lipstick. My lips stay hydrated even after a full meal. It does not flake at all unlike a few matte lip colors. The lipstick has a tendency to transfer due to its creaminess.
The lasting power of the lipstick is good as the brand claims. It easily lasts for 5-6 hours on my lips with regular sipping of water. The lipstick survives meals too with a little fading from the center of the lips. The color smudges badly after a full meal. The lipstick is very easy to remove and it never stains the lips.
