Hello dearies,

I have recently discovered great love for brighter eyeshadow shades. Hence, I have added so many bright-colored palettes to my collection. My Experience with Kiko Milano #36 Matte Coral High Pigment Wet and Dry Eyeshadow:

Beginning the review with the packaging of the product. Frankly, I just love the packaging. This is a mono eyeshadow that comes in a small plastic pan. The eyeshadow pan comes housed in a matte black colored cardboard box with a cutout on its top that helps to see the shade from outside. The back of the box has the ingredients and other details mentioned on it. Inside this box, there’s a flexible plastic base that houses the eyeshadow pan. I love the small eyeshadow pan. The pan is square shaped and has a lovely glossy finish.

The base of the pan has sticker on it mentioning the shade no, etc. The cap of the pan is black in color and clear in the middle. The brand’s logo is embossed on the clear part of the lid. The lid has an amazing magnetic lock that makes this pan great for travel purposes. The small pan is fit for carrying around and occupies very little space in makeup pouch. This eyeshadow pan has a hole at its back where a needle can be inserted to take out the eye shadow pan and customize it with other mono eye shadows to form a palette. There’s no applicator provided, but that’s not an issue with me since I rarely use applicators that are provided with such mono eyeshadows.

The brand has not written the shade name on the packaging or on the pan. I had checked the official Kiko website to get the name. #36 has been named “matte coral.” I mostly own shimmery shades and now I am collecting matte ones as they look subtle and can be easily sported during anytime of the day. I love coral lipsticks so much, even blushes, but this is my first coral eyeshadow, and I absolutely love this one.

“Matte Coral” is a perfect matte coral red-to-orange kind of shade. It perfectly signifies its name. Kiko’s wet and dry eye shadows comes in four types of finishes – matte, pearl, satin and metallic. This one is a matte variant. Hence, it has absolutely zero sheen or shimmer. The shade is apt for the coming festive season. It is definitely a gorgeous bridal shade. I am very pleased with the color of this eye shadow. It wins in terms of pigmentation too. This is a wet and dry eye shadow that can be used in both wet and dry forms. It delivers a good amount of color in a single swipe. Though the color looks deep when used dry, but it looks deeper and more gorgeous when applied wet. I would not say that it is insanely pigmented. It has medium pigmentation that is easily buildable. It does require two layers at least to show true color. One can easily increase the color intensity according to the requirement. It may be applied with a light hand for a subtle everyday look.

The texture of the eye shadow is super smooth and feels kind of silky. It spreads so easily on the eyelids without causing any dragging of eyelids. The formula is super soft and does not feel any powdery. The color is easily blend-able. The colors blend smoothly and seamlessly without much effort. In other words, I may say that it feels creamy. It is like a pressed high pigment eye shadow. It does not have any major fall out issue.

Overall, the texture is non chalky and smooth. I have not faced any creasing issue with this eye shadow.

The longevity of this eye shadow is great! It lasted on my oily eyelids for a good 6-7 hours with an eye shadow base underneath that is simply good for me. Though, there is a little fading of the color in mean time but still it looks nice. The eye shadow is very easy to remove with a makeup remover.
