Product Purchased by IMBB
Today, I will be talking about another great product from the house of Kiko Milano. It is their eye shadow duo in shade Bright Duo (01). It is the combination of two shades in one pan. Kiko Milano has recently launched themselves in India and they are doing pretty good. So, without any further ado, let’s get to the review straight 🙂
Baked eyeshadow duo for wet and dry use. The product imparts bright, rich and buildable colours. The compact’s two colours can be used alone or combined for a striking look. Baking the powder creates a smooth, creamy and uniform texture that adheres well. It feels wonderful, delightfully soft to the touch. The formula is enriched with jasmine, camellia and rose. The eyeshadow comes in a modern, practical and unique compact featuring the KK monogram and a magnetic closure. The eyeshadow’s exclusive packaging also allows it to be used in a removable system. You can remove an eyeshadow from its compact and insert it into the new Shade Selection 03 palette. Magnets hold the eyeshadows in place. The palettes are stackable and sold separately. Each elegant palette holds three eye shadows and comes with a double-ended sponge applicator and a mirror. The eyeshadows can be removed from the palette and replaced with others to create endless colour combinations and personalize your look.
My Experience with Kiko Milano Baked Eyeshadow 01 Bright Duo:
As I have mentioned earlier, both shades come in a single pan, that’s fixed in a beautiful black plastic case which has a magnetic closure. It looks pretty luxe and expensive. The good part is that the pan has not been filled till the brim but the quantity will last you a life time. Overall, the packaging is sturdy and travel friendly.
I basically purchased this shadow duo because of the shimmer shade in it. I was looking for a nice subtle shimmer shadow for quite a long time and the last time that I was at the Kiko Milano store, this particular shade was out of stock, so this time when I was in, I picked it up without second thought. There is no names mentioned for either of the shade, so let’s talk about the pink shade first.
Pink: It is a matte shade which can be a good transition shade or can be worn alone during daytime with a winged eyeliner look. It is a very subtle pink and I even used it as a blush once and it looked so natural. So yes, it is 2 in 1 product, works as an eyeshadow and blush. Pigmentation-wise, it is moderate.
Shimmer: This is my favourite shade out of the two. It has micro shimmer particles which can give you beautiful glittery eyes. Colour-wise, it is more of a champagne shade and along with glitters, it looks fabulous. The best part is that it is not a “wedding makeup” type super glittery shade, it is subtle.
I haven’t experienced any fallout with either of the shades either.
The lasting power of both the shades is 3 to 4 hours with a primer. I use them on top of NYX Pore Filler Primer.Overall, I am happy with this eyeshadow duo though I find the price a little high, but on the other hand, you get a subtle blush shade and two eyeshadows, so that works for me.
