Skin Tone: Fair with warm undertones
I’m back with another product from Kiko Milano. So far, I am blown away with almost all the products that I have picked up from Kiko Milano. We all know that “beauty balm,” often referred to as “BB cream,” has taken the Indian beauty scene by storm. Almost all high-end and drugstore brands are offering BB creams. I’m here with a review for the BB cream by Kiko Milano. So, read on to catch the drift of how I feel about this one.
Foundation-treatment with moisturizing active ingredients, SPF 15. It contains special pecial micro-encapsulated pigments that chromatically react upon application to assume the natural skin tone. The motion made during its application causes the “rupture” of the pigment coating, revealing a shade of foundation that is able to adapt perfectly to the specific tone of each complexion. Innovative complex, K2 energy-release, BB Cream SPF 15 takes care of the skin like a real treat: the active ingredients counteract the loss of moisture and at the same time fight the damage caused to your skin by pollution, strengthening its resistance to environmental stress. Dermatologically tested product = formulated to ensure minimum instance of allergic reactions. Non comedogenic. Paraben free.
INR 1050 for 30 ml.
My Experience with Kiko BB Cream Coloured Beauty Balm SPF 15:
The product arrives in a regular white tube, nothing fancy! The outer box displays all the information related to price, manufacturing and ingredients. Overall, the packaging is handy and travel friendly. The texture of this BB cream is more like a moisturizer. It is fast absorbing and takes very little effort to apply. It settles down instantly and beautifully evens out skin tone making my skin look polished without being too “made-up.”
This BB cream is available in only 5 shades namely –Light, natural, rose, medium, dark. I was suggested to pick a shade “Rose” and it suits my skin tone. It starts off light, almost off white color, but as when you rub it in the skin, it blends right in, without providing any coverage.
I bought this BB cream in a hope that it would help me cover my acne marks. Prior to this, I was using the BB cream by L’Oreal, which provides medium coverage and healthy glow, without looking heavy. I was hoping for the same results with this one, but to my disappointment, this product provides no coverage at all. So, I use it as my daily moisturizer as it keeps my skin hydrated all day long. A BB cream can also be used as a primer and this BB cream provides a perfect base for my makeup.
The soft texture of this cream becomes like a second skin, giving a healthy and natural glow. It blends in so well that it looks like I’m not using anything at all. The only thing I don’t like about this product is that it doesn’t help conceal any scars/marks, so a concealer is must if you have acne problem. I love pleasant-smelling beauty products and this BB cream has a mild perfume-like fragrance attached to it.
Pros of Kiko BB Cream Coloured Beauty Balm SPF 15:
- Travel- friendly packaging.
- Provides luminous finish for 7-8 hours.
- Very light texture, perfect for everyday use.
- Can be used as a daily moisturizer/primer.
- Suits sensitive skin.
- Overpowering fragrance.
- Provides adequate sun protection.
Cons of Kiko BB Cream Coloured Beauty Balm SPF 15:
- Provides no coverage to blemishes or scars.
- On the expensive side.
Would I Repurchase Kiko BB Cream Coloured Beauty Balm SPF 15?
Honestly, I wouldn’t repurchase because I really need a product with a little coverage. But yes, if you are looking for a light BB cream for everyday use, this is surely a good option.
