In addition to the cute polka dotted Deco Delight lipsticks, I had also picked up 2 shades of lipsticks from the Colour2 Lipstick range. Today, I am reviewing the shade “02 Glare Poppy Red.” Read on to find out more.

My Experience with Kiko Milano Colour 2 Glare Poppy Red 02 Lipstick:

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a sleek silver metallic cylindrical tube packaging. It is quite heavy and looks classy, but wait, it is not just the looks which are classy. The cap has a magnetic closure mechanism and I just love how it smoothly clicks shut. Ah! That is pure class!!

Once again, Kiko has only the number printed on the sticker at the bottom of the tube. The name of the lipstick appears on the outer plastic packaging (which no one is going to store).  The colour2 lipstick bullet itself is quite unique too as it is in a duo format – it has a full shade lipstick and a glossy lighter shade both fused together.

Shade/Pigmentation:  Glare Poppy Red is a beautiful red lipstick with orange undertones. It also has a lighter peach shade lipstick on one side of the bullet.  As you can see from the hand swatches, the lighter peach shade hardly appears in the swatches.

I would say that it only manages to add a slightly golden sheen to the lipstick. The full shade red lipstick is decently pigmented and manages to cover even pigmented lipsticks in one swipe.  This is a gorgeous shade and would look good on Indian skin tones. Since it is a bright shade with some shine, it is best reserved for parties or other functions.

Texture/Finish/Lasting Power:  Kiko is absolutely right when they say that this is a creamy lipstick. The lipstick glides on the lips like a dream and there is absolutely no tugging or pulling at the lips, but the downside is that there is a little slip while applying this lipstick and I would suggest using a lip liner.

The finish is glossy creme and makes the lips look juicy and plump.  The lipstick feels moisturizing and does not dry out your lips at all and this can be attributed to the presence of argan oil in the ingredients.

But since this is such a creamy lipstick, its staying power is pretty average. It does not last on me beyond 3-4 hours, but it manages to keep the lips hydrated for a long time. It transfers to cups and cutlery and you would surely need touch up if you are planning to wear it to a dinner or something.

Cons of Kiko Milano Colour 2 Glare Poppy Red 02 Lipstick:

• Poor staying power.
• Very creamy and likely to slip; needs a lip liner.

Would I Repurchase Kiko Milano Colour 2 Glare Poppy Red 02 Lipstick?
This is a lipstick with a nice creamy formula and a beautiful glossy finish. If you do not mind the poor staying power, you can try this lipstick.  I already own one more shade from the range and would not buy more.
