I love nail polishes and I recently picked up a few from Kiko, as they were on offer. Read on to know more about Kiko Milano Nail Lacquer.
Price and Quantity: $3.90 for 11ml (I bought it each for $1.50)
Shelf life: 36 months
Nail polish with hardening and strengthening action.
The gel texture gives an extreme lacquered shine and an ideal level of fluidity for perfect control and great ease of application.
Special resins facilitate ’adherence of the pigments to the ’nail, creating a strong, elastic layer which, thanks to the long wear active ingredients, heightens durability and the brilliance of the color.
Citral, a natural active ingredient with strengthening and hardening properties, seals and protects the nails creating un-scratchable armour of light.
Full colors – pearly, metallic, with flame, glitter and micro-glitter: whatever the’ desired effect, the result will always be beyond your expectations.
Each shade is calibrated with the highest precision to optimize the coverage and yield of the pigments.
Nail Lacquer has no abrasive ingredients like Toluene, Camphor, DBP and Formaldehyde.
My Experience with Kiko Milano Nail Lacquer:
These nail polishes come in a transparent glass bottle with a black screw cap. The brush is of a good quality and is flat at the top, making it easier to apply the nail polish. Just 2 swipes and you will have an even and full coverage. There is no specific smell to the nail polish.
The colors are opaque and have a glossiness. The nail polish has a very smooth finish and doesn’t clump or cause any lumps. There are a lot of shades available to choose from. I picked up only 5 from the lot. The consistency of the nail polish is neither thick nor thin, and it has a medium consistency and this allows it for an easier streak-free application. The nail polish dries pretty fast and another coat would give it a beautiful gel-like manicure look. The colors suit the Indian skin tones very well. The colors are pigmented and you can achieve the necessary coverage with just one go.
#225 Bordeaux Red:
Bordeaux Red is a deep, dark tone of red. With 2-3 coats, it looks like oxblood. It is deeply pigmented and when applied correctly gives a gel-like plump look to the nails. The color is really catchy and can be used for any time of the day.
#243 Plum Red:
This color is a dupe of Dior Orchid Nail Polish. It is a deep red with purple tones. The color is sophisticated. Due to the deeper pigmentation, it does leave a stain while removing the nail polish. The color is bold and can be a perfect choice for date night.
#319 Light Dove:
Light Dove is a beige-mauve color. It might look washed out for fair skin tones. Just 1 coat of nail polish gives the desired color. It is not very glossy like the other deeper shades.
#380 Medium Gray:
Medium gray is a lighter version of gray. It provides a smooth finish and is deeply pigmented. I use this shade with glitter top coats, as it gives a beautiful finish.
#507 Blush Review:
Blush is a lovely nude pink color. I absolutely love this color. Even though it doesn’t look very fancy on my skin tone, I am sure if I grow my nails a bit, it would suit perfectly. The nude shade is a perfect choice when you need to maintain low. Like the others, this shade too is pigmented very well.
Kiko claims that the nail polish contains ingredients to strengthen the nails. I have been using the nail polish for over 2-3 weeks now and I haven’t noticed any difference. The nail polishes with a base and top coat last for 8-10 days and without coats, they last for a good 7 days. If you top it up with coats, there are chances that it would peel. The product does not contain abrasive ingredients and there are fewer chances of damage to the nails. Overall, I like the colors and for the price I paid, it is a complete star product.
Pros of Kiko Milano Nail Lacquer:
• Highly pigmented
• Glossy, gel-like and smooth finish
• Lasts for more than a week
• Beautiful opaque shades
• Claims to strengthen nails
• Doesn’t contain abrasive ingredients
• Travel-friendly and affordable
• Dries fast
• Suits Indian skin tones
Cons of Kiko Milano Nail Lacquer:
• The deep tones may stain the nails
• Might chip if more coats are applied
IMBB Rating: 4.5/5
