My Experience with Kiko Milano Smart Colour Eyeshadow 25 Pearly Yellow:
The eyeshadow comes in a very cute small black container with a clear lid that makes it easy to identify the shade. It is a small, lightweight and travel-friendly packaging. It also comes with a black paper box that looks equally good and these are quite affordable too.
The shade I picked is ’25 Pearly Yellow’, which is a beautiful natural yellow shade with finely milled shimmer in it. In the hand swatches, it looks like a bright yellow shade, but on the eyes, it looks more natural and subtle.
The shade looks very fresh and is perfect for all skin tones. It’s a lovely highlighting shade too and I love to use it on the inner corners, the center of my lids, also on the brow bones. The shade is well pigmented and requires few swipes to get the color. But blending sheers out the intense pigmentation so I have to layer it up to get the true deep color.
Now the eyeshadow has a soft smooth texture that blends well on the lids and it gives an even occupied finish. The shimmers fall out a bit during application but I can dust them off easily. The formula is nice and blends well on the eyes and easily adjusts with the other shades. The shade gives a natural pearly finish that looks beautiful.
It’s also a lightweight and non-patchy shade. The texture doesn’t feel chalky but it could have been a bit smoother. Otherwise, the shimmer doesn’t look overpowering and they have a subtle glow. Now, the formula looks beautiful even with wet application. It doesn’t settle or crease either.
Coming to its longevity, I have an oily lid so I always prefer to use a primer underneath this product to make it a long-lasting one; a primer helps to increase the color intensity as well. With a primer, it lasts around 5 hours without any mess. After that, the color starts to look faded. Also, shimmers are easy to remove from the eyes.
Overall, it’s a pretty bright yellow shade with a beautiful pearly finish. I love this shadow for summer.
