My Experience with Kiko Milano Smart Eye Pencil 814 Pearly Gray:
The packaging of this pencil is like any other wooden pencil. It is slim and needs to be sharpened. It has a black body and a silver cap. They have many different shades in this line. All have the same packaging.
The good thing is the brand name and shade number are mentioned on the product in silver. The bad thing is that the pencil is not color-coded. A color-coded packaging would have been quite convenient. But yes, the color has been mentioned on the bottom of the pencil. So you can see the color only if you store the pencils upside down.
The smell of this pencil is also same as other eye pencils. The texture of this eye pencil is really, really smooth and very creamy. It glides on like butter and you don’t have to work a lot to get the desired look. As stated, it can be applied to the waterline. And, trust me guys, if you have sensitive eyes (like mine), this eyeliner would not irritate them at all.
I have tried a few drugstore pencils and they can irritate the eyes but this does not at all. One thing you have to keep in mind while using this is to clean your eyes properly before application. Oiliness on the eye area may not let the sparkly pigment show beautifully.
As it can be seen from the swatches, this pencil is really pigmented and look just how pretty this silver color is! The lasting power is also great. It can last easily up to 4-5 hours on the eyes. But after that, it starts to fade a bit. So if you are using this for a party then it will surely last the whole party.
Also, this pencil is waterproof. But at the same time, it is easy to remove. You don’t have to rub hard to get it off. This pencil is really affordable and it certainly won’t make a hole in your pocket.
Honestly, I prefer pencil in twist-up style as wooden pencils can be a bit time-consuming as we have to sharpen them every now and then. Kiko Milano makes some of the best products in a great price range, as I always say. This pencil, too, would not disappoint and would add the oomph factor to your whole eye look.
