My Experience with Kiko Milano Smart Fusion Lipstick 430 Amaranth:
The ‘Smart Fusion Lipstick’ range from Kiko Milano has about 24 shades in its collection. You will find it hard just to grab one shade from this range. The colour collection is awesome to choose from and is greatly suitable for Indian beauties. Now, let’s get into the packaging details.
The lipstick bullet comes in an outer cardboard black box that has a matte finish in it. The brand name and other details are mentioned on the body of this box. The lipstick bullet is black in colour and has the brand logo printed on the top of the bullet. This type of simple and minimal packaging gives a classy finish to these lipsticks. The black cap closes securely in place with an audible click. There are details related to the product description and ingredient list on the cardboard body. The shade code is mentioned on the outer cardboard box and on the top of the bullet. Overall, the packaging is travel-friendly and sturdy.
The shade ‘430 Amaranth’ is a deep purple toned berry pink colour. This shade out of all the shades holds a special place to me because I heard so much about it. It is a close dupe to MAC Rebel. So, if you don’t want to spend on high-end brands like MAC for a perfect berry shade, surely but this shade. It will look quite vampy on fair skin tones, but if you want to wear bold makeup and make eyeballs roll, this shade is perfect for you. Personally, I feel this is not an everyday wear shade. It will suit medium to dusky skin tones more. I love this shade a lot.
The pigmentation of this lipstick is super rich and intense. On my lips, it needs 1-2 swipes to obtain the true colour payoff. Pigmented lips will need about 3-4 swipes to hide their lip pigmentation completely. It is very easy to layer the product to build the intensity and it will never feel heavy or cause crumbling. This lipstick has a strong scent of vanilla, the odour is very sweet and I feel like I would eat up the whole lipstick.
Texture and Finish:
Being a cream lipstick, it has a super creamy texture that glides on the lips smoothly for an even application. It does not cause any pulling or tugging during application. This lipstick provides the right amount of sheen and glow, which looks perfect. This lipstick is a big relief to me because I have super dry lips if not prepped. It hydrates and nourishes my lips and gives a creamy finish. It never dries out my lips. It acts as a good lip plumper and adds definition to my lips.
The formula is very lightweight and does not cause any discomfort when I rub my lips. I think it is definitely worth the price you pay. When you buy lipsticks with a creamy formula, you can even apply it without prior moisturisation. This is a big benefit of this lipstick. It does not get patchy and does not highlight the harsh lines of my lips.
The main drawback is that it doesn’t set on the lips, so if you touch your lips by chance, the colour will spread all over your face. Hence, this lipstick is not completely smudge-proof and transfer-proof. To make this lipstick last longer, I dab some loose powder on my lips. Then, I line the cupid of my lips to make an ‘X’ with a lip liner. This gives me fuller looking lips and also helps the lipstick to stay in place longer. You can also apply the lipstick using a lip brush for a more precise and defined application.
This lipstick stays for a decent amount of time. It can stay for about 4-5 hours and it would not need any reapplication. If you are having oily meals, then the formula breaks down from the centre of your lips and the intensity fade away slowly. After that, you would need reapplication. When it fades away, it does behind a nice soft stain of colour which looks amazing. Removal of this lipstick is super easy. Any normal makeup remover can remove it completely.
I love this range of hydrating lipsticks. They are perfect for you if you have dry lips like me and are on a low budget. The colour ‘Amaranth’ looks very beautiful and great for creating bold looks. I would definitely recommend it to the readers. You will not regret buying it.
