Eye Lashes: Short and weighed-down

This is the last product from my recent Kiko Milano haul. My Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara was drying up and was beyond its shelf life. I was thinking to restock it but for some reason, Maybelline products are very expensive here. So, I decided to pick up this standout volume waterproof mascara from Kiko Milano. Read on to know how this product fared out for me.

My Experience with Kiko Milano Standout Volume Waterproof Mascara:
Packaging: The product comes in a standard black cardboard box which contains information about the product including the ingredients list. The product itself is enclosed in a stunning black metallic cylinder. The name of the brand is inscribed in white letters and the name of the product is written in blue. Despite being a metallic cylinder, it is quite lightweight and has an ergonomic handle. Overall, the packaging is travel-friendly. I love the stunning black metallic packaging. It gives a very modern feel.
Wand: The mascara has a very unique wand. Like mentioned in the product description, it has undulations or a concave shape. Thanks to this shape, the mascara can be build up for the ‘standout volume’ effect. I love the effect this wand creates, it lengthens the eyelashes a lot. It allows for a gradual build-up of the mascara. I comb my lashes, curl them and then start applying this mascara from the bottom of my lash line to the tips. In this way, I ensure that my lashes don’t weigh down. In terms of the volume effect, I think the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara performs better. This mascara gives a decent volume but nothing that is extraordinary. But what makes this mascara better than the Maybelline one is that it has a creamy formula which doesn’t clump. I have observed that if I do the coatings fast enough, then there’s no clumping! How amazing is that. My only complaint with the wand is its tip. Normally, I use the tip of the wand to reach the inner corner of my eyelashes but for some reason, the tip of this mascara accumulates a lot of the product making coating the inner corner a bit difficult. But, this is easily solved by wiping off the excess on the tube before application.
Lasting Power: In terms of lasting power, this mascara is amazing. It doesn’t chip or fade away even after 8 hours. It stays the same way throughout the day. This makes it a very good mascara for regular use. You don’t need to worry about touch-ups with this one. The formula is indeed water-proof, doesn’t budge when I wash my face with the product on. I remove this mascara with micellar water or my absolute favourite Bobbi Brown Cleansing Oil.
In the EOTD that I have attached for this mascara, I didn’t make the coatings fast enough, so that’s why you see a bit of clumping.
Overall, I like this product for its packaging, it’s lengthening effect, lasting power, non-clumpiness and water-resistant formula. It could have performed a bit better in the volume department.

Yes to both. This is a good regular-wear mascara.
