I recently hauled some Kiko Milano products and I will be reviewing them as I form an opinion about them. I love bold lip colours and that’s why I picked up this burgundy lipstick from the Kiko Milano Velvet Passion Matte range. When I swatched this lipstick on the back of my hand at the store, I instantly fell in love with the colour and bought it. Read onto know how this product fared out for me.

My Experience with Kiko Milano Velvet Passion Matte Lipstick 318 Burgundy:
Packaging: The lipstick is enclosed in the standard Kiko Milano black cardboard box. The box contains the ingredient information. The lipstick has an unique aluminium body with dual tones of grey and gold. The lid closes well with a click sound onto the lipstick case. The shade number is mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick.
The name of the brand is embossed on the lid. The aluminium body makes the lipstick a bit heavy, but it is so unique and fancy that I love it. I have never seen such a bold and powerful lipstick packaging. This will make an unique addition to your vanity. The packaging is also very travel-friendly.
Texture: The shape of the bullet of this lipstick is very unique. It is cut into these geometric proportions which make it really easy to line and fill in the lips. This lipstick glides smoothly over moisturized lips.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is intense and I needed just one swipe to cover all the pigmentation on my lips. I didn’t feel the need to apply a concealer before using this product on my lips. The finish is soft matte and not flat. It gives a very healthy and good-looking finish on top of moisturized lips. The colour is a true burgundy and I cannot describe in words how much I love this colour. It goes really well with my skin tone, and just with one swipe of this lipstick, you’re ready to flaunt bold makeup looks. I think this bold colour will look good on all Indian skin tones. I have included a lip swatch picture, a hand swatch picture and a makeup look (recreation of Rati’s epic goth look) created with this lipstick to give you an idea of how amazing this colour is and how it will look on your skin tone.
Lasting Power: The lasting power disappointed me, I don’t know why this lipstick has such raving reviews about its lasting power. Even without any meal or drinks, it starts to fade within 3 hours. It transfers everywhere and if you eat, it will completely disappear from the center of your lips and just stay on the outlines; which doesn’t look good. At the end of 8 hours, you will wonder if you wore anything on your lips in the morning. The pigmentation is completely gone. Since I don’t get time to re-touch my makeup at all, I used Rati’s trick to make lipsticks last longer without using a lip liner. The trick has a tutorial on the Rati Beauty app, so I won’t be going into details. I was just so happy that this trick enhanced the lasting power of this lipstick up to 8 hours. I didn’t feel any need for reapplication at all.
Overall, I loved the packaging, pigmentation and the colour of this lipstick. It doesn’t get a thumbs up from me in the lasting power department. But I love the colour so much, I am willing to invest some time in the morning to make it last longer.

- Cannot survive for more than 3 hours on its own.
