Today, I will be reviewing a concealer and I have never reviewed a concealer before on IMBB. Kiko is a brand that I didn’t really hear about until a few months ago and I was thoroughly impressed by their quality and their affordable prices. I struggled to find a concealer to match my skin tone that was also affordable, until I stumbled across this. There are seven shades within this concealer range, which also includes a green shade to combat redness. To read my thoughts on this product, please keep on reading!
Liquid concealer, natural, light and smoothing, easy to apply. Boasts an effective coverage of dark circles and blemishes, smoothes fine lines while carrying out a purifying action. The formula is enriched with Vitamin E.
My Take on Kiko Natural Concealer:
I love the packaging that this concealer comes in. It is pretty small so it is perfect for travelling, as it doesn’t take up much space at all. A possible downside is that this means there isn’t much product compared to other full-sized concealers on the market, however I’ve found this not to be an issue. One tube of concealer lasts me a good few months, however that being said, this is also dependent on how much concealer you use and how often you use it so you may find that it runs out quicker for you than it did for me.
I’ve found that this concealer is really great at evening out the skin tone, that sometimes I like to apply this alone and no foundation when I’m in a hurry. It comes with a small doe-foot applicator and it is the perfect size for dabbing onto your spots or under your eyes. However, I wouldn’t recommend this concealer for those with hyperpigmentation and acne scars. I unfortunately have dark marks on my face and I’ve found that whilst this definitely helps to lighten them, it doesn’t fully conceal the mark, which is a shame.
Despite layering on the concealer, I’ve found that it doesn’t make much difference in terms of covering up the dark marks. That being said, layering this concealer doesn’t make my face look cakey. It looks natural and feels comfortable on my face. The concealer is so easy to apply and it goes onto the face smoothly and is super easy to blend too. I’ve found that it does last on the face a good couple of hours, however on my skin, it does tend to oxidise especially since I’ve got oily skin. So, by the end of the day, the concealer looks a tad too dark and orange on my face. I think this does last a few hours on my face without having to touch up, but not the whole day.
Since this has a slight orange undertone to it, I sometimes put it around areas of discolouration or darker areas of my face and it acts as a colour corrector, before I apply foundation on top. As for the smell, it has got quite a sweet, soapy smell, which is quite strong but pleasant and not too overpowering.
Pros of Kiko Natural Concealer:
- Travel friendly.
- Acts as a colour corrector.
- Evens out skin tone.
- Easy to apply and blend.
- Doesn’t look cakey.
Cons of Kiko Natural Concealer:
- Doesn’t fully conceal dark marks.
- Can oxidise on the face.
- Minimal amount of product in tube.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Kiko Natural Concealer?
This was definitely a great budget buy and for that I would repurchase it, but I’m still on the hunt for a concealer that provides more coverage and helps conceal my dark spots and hyperpigmentation better. Although this does a decent job, I can still see the dark marks peeking out underneath. This would be a great concealer for the lucky girls who don’t really require much coverage, but just want something natural looking on the face. I hope you
