Today’s review will be on KIKO Smart Lipstick #904 Strawberry Pink. From my recent haul I have already reviewed #929 Fuchsia and #933 Poppy Red. I believe I have many reds in my stash (although it is never enough), this time I decided to move over to more pinks and plums.

My Experience with KIKO Smart Lipstick #904 Strawberry Pink:
Packaging: The Lipstick comes in a rectangular cardboard box, with the name of the brand, number of the lipstick and the ingredients list mentioned on it. The lipstick bullet is housed in a black matte plastic body. The shade number is also mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick. It has a turn and twist up mechanism. Also, the cap shuts with a click and has an upper hollow on the lid, for the ease of closure. It looks classy and compact. The lid shuts with a click and is not prone to opening on its own and hence can be easy to carry around in the bag or wallet.
Shade: Strawberry Pink is a very pretty girly pink shade. While in the bullet it looks darker, but I personally like the way it looks on the lips. Very sober and young color I must say. The name says strawberry, but I would say, it does look like strawberry color but a tad lighter. Have you guys been to mapro gardens in Mahabaleshwar? You should try the Strawberry cream during winter seasons.
This shade looks like strawberry pulp mixed with a little cream. Ok out of foodie mind and back to the lipstick. The color looks very fresh and soft in the daytime. It is totally adorable and is a very good option for office wears. This shade will look brighter on fair skinned beauties, than the medium and dark skin ones. Similarly, like the other lipsticks in this range, you can actually play around the color intensity.
Texture and Pigmentation: Texture wise, Strawberry Pink is soft and creamy. Although I say it is creamy, it does not crumble and the bullet is hard and strong. I would say that it looks like a combination of a soft, nourishing lipstick and a lip balm. It glides on the lips easily and does not tug or pull. It has a glossy finish to it. As a thumb rule that I follow, exfoliate your lips and use a lip balm beneath the lipstick.
This shade is light color and hence not completely opaque. So, this will not help in covering pigmented lips. Then it will highlight dry patches and cling to it. You can play soft and it will look like those well maintained luscious lips with gloss on it or swipe multiple times and get a pretty pinky shade. Multiple swipes do not feel heavy at all.
Lasting power: Although it claims to last long, mine lasted for only 4-5 hours. It won’t survive a meal. Also this lipstick is not waterproof or cutlery stain proof. It does transfer. This shade in particular fades away equally and evenly leaving behind soft pretty pink tint.
All in all I love these Smart Lipsticks from KIKO.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase KIKO Smart Lipstick #904 Strawberry Pink?
I would definitely recommend these lipsticks. Even with the little cons here and there, what better could you get at this price? I would not repurchase these for the sole reason of being able to try new shades. These products from KIKO are not out of this world awesome, but the thing that I like about them is that, they are very economical and hence give us a chance to try new stuff without feeling the pinch to our wallets. Also, they are quite consistent with their formulation and quality. They have real pretty shades too. All in all I love KIKO products and you should try them at least once.
