Today I’m going to review for you, my first celebrity fragrance that I got recently. It is “Killer Queen by Katy Perry”.Check out more below:

Product Description:

Pop star Katy Perry launches her third fragrance and the first one done in cooperation with Coty. The scent is called Killer Queen by the song written by Freddie Mercury, and apparently it is totally different from its two predecessors.

“Killer Queen has been in my vocabulary since I was 15, because of the song ‘Killer Queen’ by Queen,” said Perry to wwd. “Freddie Mercury painted the lyrics of this woman who I wanted to be. She seemed very powerful, and she captivated a room when she walked in. I named my company Killer Queen after those lyrics. I feel like, after all this time, it was appropriate to use that name in association with something I did. I feel like I’m falling, finally, into that woman Freddie painted.”

Announced as a playful, sophisticated, powerful, edgy and delicious fragrance, it reflects the rebellious spirit of the singer. Its creation is signed by Laurent Le Guernec of IFF. Top notes include wild berries, dark plum and bergamot accords. The main note of the heart is velvety red flower (Celosia), but there are also Sambac jasmine and rainbow plumeria. The base contains cashmere, patchouli and liquid praline.

Price:

36 Euros for 50ML / 1.7 fl.oz.The fragrance is available as 15, 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum with body lotion and shower gel as well.

My Experience with Killer Queen by Katy Perry Eau De Parfum:

Killer Queen by Katy Perry Eau De Parfum is the first celebrity fragrance I decided to purchase. I always go for some kind of natural fragrance which I can definitely use without any specific occasion. I decided to purchase this Eau De Parfum because of the exotic design of the bottle which I really like!

The fragrance comes in a red and gold jewel-shaped bottle. The packaging is really super sexy and playful. I noticed that Killer Queen by Katy Perry Eau De Parfum is the typical sweet perfume which comes with the accord of berries in combination. The top notes include wild berries, dark plum and bergamot accords. The main note at the heart is velvety red flower (celosia), but it also has noted of  sambac jasmine and rainbow plumeria. The base notes contain cashmere, patchouli and liquid praline.

The first spray is a heavy smell of berries and flowers and after a few seconds, the smell gets sweeter and stronger. The fragrance surprised me with the scent of plum, woody notes and the clean scent of bergamot. The combination of these ingredients makes the scent more mature and sexy. It is more complex than the sweet berries kind of perfume. This fragrance suits an age group that comes next to teenagers, more of a sophisticated scent this is rather than being young.

I would wear this scent at night, for day wear , I keep more natural fragrances. It is sweet, clean and sexy with a touch of luxury to it. Winter would be the perfect season for wearing this perfume. However, it depends on your body temperature and the natural chemistry and scent of your skin. I would prefer to wear it all the year round though. 🙂

Pros of Killer Queen by Katy Perry Eau De Parfum:

• Long lasting.
• Unique, not a typical sweet fragrance. It is sweet, fruity with the combination of a woody scent.
• Fabulous packaging.
• Not too costly.

Cons of Killer Queen by Katy Perry Eau De Parfum:

• This would be in contradiction to my liking for the packaging, but I find it a  trouble that the bottle cannot be put vertically.
• It is too overpowering to wear during the day time.

Will I repurchase Killer Queen by Katy Perry Eau De Parfum Review?

No! Though I like it, but I prefer to discover new fragrances..
