My Experience with KleanColor 12 Burnt Sugar Femme Lipstick:
The packaging of the lipstick is average. The lipstick tube has a curvy shape, but the lipstick tube looks flimsy. The only thing that I liked about this lipstick packaging is its color-coded body that helps to easily spot the shade from the makeup stash. The cap fits tightly and does not come off while carrying around. The tip of the lipstick bullet remains outside the tube, hence I need to be a little careful while placing the cap, else it may damage the bullet. One more thing that I do not like about Kleancolor lipsticks is that the lipstick bullet gets detached from the base and sticks to the cap.
“Burnt Sugar” is a gorgeous burgundy red color. The shade looks beautiful on the lips. The color is bright and not for everyday use, but it is definitely a good option for evening parties or weddings. This lipstick has sheer pigmentation but the color is easily buildable with 2-3 swipes. The lipstick does not crease upon layering. It has a very mild candy fragrance that is totally not bothersome.
The texture of the lipstick is average. It is very smooth but not creamy. Still, it glides smoothly on the lips without any tugging or pulling. The formula is lightweight and feels comfortable on the lips. The lipstick does not have a heavy and sticky formula.
The formula is not really moisturizing and hence the lips feel dry after sometime. So, it is necessary to keep the lips moisturized and hydrated. The lipstick sets to a crème finish. The lip color does not highlight the dry patches of the lips. There are no smudging issues with this lipstick. But, being a crème lip color, it has the tendency to transfer.
Everything about this range of lipsticks is fine considering its price point except its staying power, which is really low. The lipstick does not last for more than 3 hours on my lips. Therefore, it requires frequent reapplications as it fades off completely after a meal.
