Klorane Refresh and Revive Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk Review

Lovely hello to all my beautiful friends,

I am here again and this time, I have a dry shampoo for you.  A few years ago, we were not familiar with a product known as dry shampoo, but today, it is a necessity for all of us. Though I used to prefer washing my hair than using dry shampoo mainly because of the product build up, but with the alarming rate of hair strands that I find in my shower every time I wash them, I have reduced washing them often.  It so happens that the day I skip washing them, hubby comes home saying that we are going out. 😐 Dry shampoo comes for my rescue then. For reference, I have very fine hair which is very dry with an oily scalp. I have mostly used dry shampoos from drugstore brands, some have been a hit while the others have been a miss.  I read some good reviews about Klorane Refresh And Revive Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk with Natural Tint, so picked it up during my last visit to Sephora. Check out how this one fared:

My Experience with Klorane Refresh and Revive Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk:

This product is way pricey that the drugstore ones and so I picked up the smaller, travel-sized version. A product which contains natural ingredients and is formulated without parabens and sulfates, it tends to be pricey. I am glad that I did not pick up the bigger one. I am not a fan of this product, why? I will tell you more about it below.

Klorane Refresh and Revive Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk

The product comes in a small aerosol can with a transparent cap. The cap fits nicely, so you can easily travel with it. The nozzle is buff colored indicating that the product is naturally tinted for brown to dark hair. I was excited that it is naturally tinted as it means it would easily mix (at least easier than the traditional white ones!) with my hair color. But I did not notice anything special with the tint. 🙁

The dry shampoo has a nice fragrance which lies somewhere in the middle of a baby powder and men’s deo. 😛 But it doesn’t stay for long in the hair and dissipates in some time. The nozzle doesn’t get clogged, but it doesn’t spray very well. When I spray the can, either very little comes out or a large burst of powder comes out, grrr!!! There is no way to apply a little amount of product even if you want! I like to use the product little by little on my bangs, crown area, but it can’t be done with this. It squirts too much amount in one go.

Klorane Refresh and Revive Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk

Now coming to its basic job – to absorb the oil from my roots and give them bounce and volume. Klorane Refresh and Revive Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk does not do a good job here. It makes very little difference to my hair and they definitely do not look “fresh” at all. No matter how much or little product I use, my hair/scalp still looks oily and limp. 🙁

Directions says that we should let the powder sit on the scalp for 2 minutes and then brush hair till the powder is removed, but no matter how many times I brush, the powder is not fully removed. In fact, it spreads all over and it looks like I have too much dandruff and I have given myself a good scratch. Ughh!!!

Pros of Klorane Refresh and Revive Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk:

  • Nice fragrance.
  • Fragrance fades away in some time.
  • Travel-friendly packaging.
  • No sulfates, parabens, silicones.
  • Contains corn and rice starch.

Cons of Klorane Refresh and Revive Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk:

  • The “tint” doesn’t help.
  • Does not refresh hair.
  • Spray does not function properly.
  • Either very little comes out or a large burst of powder comes out while spraying.
  • Leaves a powdery residue all over my hair.

Would I Repurchase Klorane Refresh and Revive Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk?
Though, many people found this dry shampoo to be good, it did not work at all for me. If the natural ingredients impress you, you might give it a try. I would suggest, try with the smaller size first.
