Konad Series Part 2 : A design with Konad Image plate M57
Since my readers happened to like the konad part one with the image plate in m65, I am back with one more “koandicure “ this time with image plate m 57 which happens to be my favourite. I love their plates with all over designs which cover the entire nail. I have some couple of plates and all of them are bigger designs. As you ladies know I got them from niru’s nailsnbeauty site and I am happy with their service and koand stuff. I have a couple of special polishes too without which the design would be a mess. But this time I tries the LA colors nail art deco in black which works quite well but the color comes out a tad bit lighter than the konad special polish in black . but im happy with the results. This time I am trying some nail art with the plate m 57 but just one leopard print. Will show you guys all the other designs on the plate some other time 😉
Base coat (lakme here)
Color (elle 18 48)
Black polish preferably konad special polish
Konad stamp and scraper kit
Some spare cotton and tissues
A clean protected surface to work on (it can be quite a mess :yuck:
Use a base coat on nails. lakme is fine too as long as it doesn’t interfere with the color of the base .
Step two: Paint the nails with a lighter color for the black to show up. This a pretty baby pink and goes opaque in one coat. Looks nice with a black. Just experimenting 😉
Step three: Apply special polish on the design of your choice on the image plate. I am using la colors in black but konad black would be better anyday. Try using that. La colors is runny but still comes out well as its intended for nail art. It gives a good print so I don’t mind this one over konad as konad is 140 rs for 5 ml an this is 2$ for more. :yahoo:
Scrape off the polish from the image plate with the help of scraper given with kit. The scarper actually has blade in it so be careful :tremble:
Use the stamp with a gentle yet firm rolling and pressing motion to pick the design up on the stamp surface. Depending on the design use the broader or the smaller side of the double ended stamp. It is better to get a double sided one as its would give better results with smaller designs on other image plates.
Gently press the stamp in one rolling sweep on the nail.let dry. Finish all nails similarly.
Step Seven: Clean up the mess at the edges of the nails with a clean q tip and remover.
Step 7:Apply a top coat with light touch up motion with a light hand taking care not to spoil the design .I am using colorama glitterati today just for fun as it would add glitter too besides just adding a top coat to protect the design.
I am just trying to figure out some color combinations for these konad ones. Any suggestions are welcome. This is one of my favourite plates so you can check it out at the site I mentioned. Try to get the special polish for best and darker results. Sorry about the shape of my nails(some short some square :stars: ) also do tell me whether you like it with colorama glitter top coat or plain. Any suggestions are welcome. 🙂
Price for stamp kit with scraper included is 200 I guess
Price for image plate is 175 each(lost to chose from)
Price for special polish in 5ml bottle is 140 😯
The website niru’s nailnbeauty ships from bangalore, this is authentic konad and they ship all over India for free within a week.Cash on delivery is also available
