Today, I am reviewing a lipstick by Korres. This is the first time I have purchased a product from this brand. I bought it because I had read a lot of good reviews about this product and also because this brand is known for its natural ingredients. Let’s find out more about the shade ‘Dark Pink’.
• A long-lasting lip color pen
• With an ultra-soft texture that glides on smoothly
• Formulated with apricot & rice bran oils
• Provides superior comfort & high colour purity
• Free of parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs or triclosan
$9.99 for 2g
My Experience with Korres Dark Pink Soft Touch Lip Pen:
I had lot of light shades in my lipstick collection and wanted to try some darker shades now. With this thought, I purchased the shade number 17 called Dark Pink. But, the opposite happened to me! This shade turned out pinkish nude color with glossy finish on my lips. It does not contain shimmer. One more light shade in my collection! 🙁
The product comes in a sleek white plastic tube with product details mentioned on it. The white color of the tube makes it unique in appearance as compared to traditional packaging of lipsticks. The shade code and name are mentioned at the side of the lip pen. It has a traditional twist up bullet and this mechanism works quite well.
It has buttery soft texture with amazing pigmentation. Only one swipe and you are good to go. It has mild vanilla ice cream scent which fades gradually after application. The pigmentation of the Lip Pen is amazing as one swipe gives opaque color on lips, but it’s not true to the color which appears in the bullet and not even close to the shade name. Even the shade color shown on top of the tube is many shades darker than what comes out after application. However, I like the color on my lips. As it does not dry out matte and gives out a rather glossy finish.
The brand’s claim of good staying power is quite a lie! I really don’t agree with this claim, not at least with this shade. It does not survive meals at all. I wear it for about 3 hours and it slightly fades away from the centre of my lips, even though I never lick my lips. But the good thing is that it doesn’t dry out my lips and gives the glossy finish. But, as soon as I eat something or have cold drinks, the lip color just gets vanished. It transfers to my glass as well.
Pros of Korres Dark Pink Soft Touch Lip Pen:
• Good pigmentation
• Very creamy and doesn’t dry out the lips
• Doesn’t bleed out of the lips.
• It is very light and comfortable on lips.
• Perfect for everyday use.
• White tube packaging is unique.
• Contains the goodness of apricot and rice bran oil.
• Glossy finish.
Cons of Korres Dark Pink Soft Touch Lip Pen:
• Average staying power.
• Shade is not true to what is mentioned on the tube.
• Doesn’t survive meals.
• The bullet is very fragile.
Would I Recommend Korres Dark Pink Soft Touch Lip Pen?
This pinkish nude color will go very well with light skin tones, but will wash away dusky or tanned beauties.
Would I Repurchase Korres Dark Pink Soft Touch Lip Pen?
No, I do not prefer lipsticks with low staying power. Also, I am looking for darker shades.
Korres is known for its natural ingredients which really make the cosmetics safe to use. I would like to try different lipstick range from this brand, but not really this one.
Stay beautiful and take care! 🙂
