My Experience with Korres Pomegranate Balancing Cream Gel Moisturiser:

When I was looking for a decent moisturiser for my oily skin on an online shopping site, I spotted Korres products on which every lady and gal was going gaga.  I was also impressed and surprised by the long claims and the ingredient list of Korres Pomegranate Cream Gel particularly. Finally, after much debate between grey and white matter in my head, I clicked on this cream and decided to go with everyone’s love. Initially, I was really surprised to read – gel and moisturizer words in one single product.

I had really high hopes with Korres, especially this particular cream gel moisturiser as it was raved about too much online, but it was disappointing on the very first day of using it on my skin.  It claims of oil-free shine and mattifying effect, but the moment I rubbed it on my skin, I felt a greasy shining effect on my face. I just reduced the quantity next day and thought of going for a second opinion, but again, it was same greasy shiny feel after just seconds of rubbing it onto my skin. I can’t tell you how I felt for this tub.

Thankfully, it did not break me out, but anyway, I won’t use it as it looks so oily on my face. Well, I could not let it go waste, hence I asked my mum in law to try it as she also has combination skin, but she also felt a little oily on her matured skin. However, this cream gel is still working fair enough on her skin as compared to my oily and acne-prone skin. I am really disappointed by my first Korres product as it did not live up to any single claim other than smelling  heavenly.  Its really sad to notice such results from a high-end brand cream gel which is made for oily/combination skin and which had tall claims talking blah blah blah.  I am not patient enough to wait for winters and give it another chance, I passed it on to my MIL as she is still pretty okay with this cream. I think I won’t be able to invest again on Korres in my life even after reading positive reviews, literally “looks are deceiving.”

Pomegranate Balancing Cream Gel Moisturiser 9

Let’s sum up the pros and cons:

Pros of Korres Pomegranate Balancing Cream Gel Moisturiser:

  • A natural cream gel moisturiser.
  • Formulated without parabens, sulphates, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, phthalates and triclosan.
  • Moisturises matured skin well.

Pomegranate Balancing Cream Gel Moisturiser 10

Cons of Korres Pomegranate Balancing Cream Gel Moisturiser:

  • It does not provide any mattifying effect as per its tall claims.
  • I did not notice any reduction in open pores, rather I felt my skin was more greasy and shiny.
  • High price for such small quantity and false claims.
  • It is not meant for oily skin, its absolutely not.

I am really disappointed as I had high hopes from Korres, but I feel so sad after getting this mini tub at such a high price. I am sure I am not going to pick any Korres product.  I would rather stick to my TBS Tea Tree Pore Minimiser, it works much much better than Korres Cream Gel Moisturiser for me personally. Please do ask your friends or analyse yourself before getting this product for yourself. It is a complete disappointment in terms of price you pay for such a small jar as well as the shocking results you get at the end. It is nowhere written that it is suitable for matured skin, but I feel it will work much better on matured ladies as it is doing justice with my MIL’s matured combination skin by chance. Hope it helps!!!

Frankly I love my Lotus gel creme – that does not make my skin oily and moisturizes and is a fraction of this price.
