My Experience with Korres Pomegranate Deep Cleansing Scrub

As we all know ” Exfoliation” is an important step and must be included in our skin care routine. It helps get rid of the dead cells which are continuously produced and rest on top of our skin and which can cause dull and lackluster look. Exfoliating scrubs away those dead cells and reveals the radiant youthful skin underneath.

I always wanted to try Korres product mainly because they are renowned to be “Natural” and formulated without Parabens, dyes and all other harmful ingredients which we all could do without.
I got an opportunity to try this scrub courtesy on IMBB and have been very pleased with it.

Packaging:

The product comes in a squeeze tube with a twist cap. It is not the most attractive packaging I must admit as it resembles and has me confused many times with a Ointment tube. It does not look pretty on the vanity and does not even stand up on its own. But it a very practical and travel friendly packaging and helps get controlled amount of product out hence avoiding wastage.

Texture/Consistency:

I recently took this scrub with me on my travel and used it twice a week. I really like the creamy consistency of the product and it spreads easily and smoothly over skin. It does not lather. It has crushed greek olive stones as exfoliating particles while are irregular in size and can feel pretty abrasive and sharp if you have sensitive skin. I have always loved and used scrubs with crushed walnut shells hence I am used to this much abrasiveness of exfoliation but I still use this with a very light hand. If you are more used to gentle scrubs like with micro beads you may find this product to be too harsh. On a different note I love the fact that the exfolaint are naturally derived and biodegradable hence better for the environment than the plastic micro beads. It does not leave greasiness behind after rinsing.

Results:
The results after using this scrub is immediate. My skin feels smoother and looks more radiant. With few weeks of use I find that even my skin tone is getting even and my skin doesn’t look patchy anymore. It also has helps get rid of dry patches on my skin and helps control excess oil production. I do feel that my skin looks more toned and fresh which is the result claimed by the Pomegranate extract and the anti oxidants. Very pleased in this aspect.

Fragrance:

I love the fragrance of this product. It smells very fresh and fruity. The scent is slight sweet and tart. Does not smell chemical-ish or medicine-y at all. Along with rejuvenating your skin it also rejuvenate the senses.
The only con I would list for this product is that I feel the quantity provided is very less. It just 1.35 oz (40 ml) of product provided which I feel will get over very quickly.

Pros of Korres Pomegranate Deep Cleansing Scrub

Cons of Korres Pomegranate Deep Cleansing Scrub

• Availability. Sephora is the exclusive retailer for this brand.
• Some may find the exfoliating particles very harsh and abrasive
• Quantity provided is very less.
• The ointment like tube is not attractive.
