Korres Pro Vitamin B5 and Rice Bran Mascara Review

Korres Pro Vitamin B5 and Rice Bran Mascara Review

Hello All,

This time its been a bit of time, but there is a concrete reason behind no reviews – no make up purchases, so no reviews! Yeah, it has been more than 4 months since I bought a single makeup product or any cosmetic I should say. I got a pack of Korres eye products sometime around Diwali and this mascara is a part of the same pack. I have not bought any cosmetic product since then. I had resolved to not buy anything unless I finish up what I already have in my stock.  I have around 20 lip products and around 10 eye make up products. So, in order to buy anything new, I have to first bring these to end.  Okay, coming to the mascara.

My Experience with Korres Pro Vitamin B5 and Rice Bran Mascara:

Just like all other Korres products, the first thing that I like about this mascara is that it is free from parabens and sulphates and instead makes use of pro vitamin B5 and rice bran.  It gives a very natural look to the eyelashes while enhancing them just a bit. I would not compare its volumizing effect with that of the L’Oreal mascara that I have reviewed on IMBB before as L’Oreal mascara gave way much “enlarged” effect than this one.

Korres Mascara 3

It does not sting my eyes which is why I like it so much. Generally, I am scared of using eye make up because I think I have very sensitive eyes. Products that do not sting my eyes are my favorite. In fact, this is one reason, I am chucking make up and planning to go back to my earlier no-make or rather least-makeup self because in the recent past, my eyes have suffered a lot!

I get small boils on my eyelids whenever I use an eye product and that leaves even a bit of residue in the eyes. Faces eye pencils have been much better this way. Korres mascara did not sting me and was safe to use on my eyes.

It does not do a dramatic job on the lashes. It does enhance them a bit and keeps them separated without making them look clumped. It is easy to apply; just curl it once or twice and you are done.

Korres Mascara 4

Best part is that it is super easy to remove. It is not waterproof, so just use a remover and later wash your eyes. Its totally gone! The applicator is okay. I find it similar to other mascara brushes and oh yeah, it has a great tendency to dry. When I first used it, I thought it was already dried and maybe that is why I could feel the flakes, but when I read a little bit about it online, I realized that it has a relatively dry formula. So, when you get this, try to finish it up as the first thing or it might totally dry out.

Pros of Korres Pro Vitamin B5 and Rice Bran Mascara:

  • Natural formula.
  • Enhances eyelashes,
  • Compact, sleek packaging.
  • Easy to remove.
  • Does not give a dramatic or clumpy look to the lashes.
  • Good for everyday, naturally enhanced look.
  • Does not sting eyes

Cons of Korres Pro Vitamin B5 and Rice Bran Mascara:

  • If you want a mascara that gives a huge volumizing effect, this is not for you.
  • Has a tendency to dry out or maybe its a little dry in formula.

IMBB Rating:

3.5/5
