I had picked up a few blush refills from Kryolan and this “080” is one of those shades. Now, please do not ask me why I bought this bright red shade. I had never tried a red blush before, and wanted to try one, and picked this one from my trusted brand – that is where this story ends. 😛 Read the review to know more about the product.
7.5$ for 2.5 gm.
Blusher is a creamy pressed powder for dry application. The exceptional formulation enhances a gentle application and produces a pleasantly soft feeling on the skin. The micronized pigments offer the possibility of applying this preparation not only with fashionable transparency, but also with vivid color emphasis.
My Experience with Kryolan Blusher Refill 080:
Packaging: The product comes in a small, transparent, plastic case. These are designed in a way so that the artists can bring out the pot and place it in a palette, but the plastic casing allows individual storage also. It can be closed tightly and you can easily keep it like that. The lid has the Kryolan logo on it. You can carry it during your trips too, there is no fear of the lid opening up and messing with your other makeup products. I love how the refill is not packed just in a pouch and has this convenient case which allows to store it without having to buy a separate palette. The shade name and few other details are mentioned on the back cover. Though not aesthetically pleasing, this is a user-friendly packaging.
Color: This is a red blush that probably everyone will stay away from. It is a bright, neutral red shade that may look too OTT on fair skin tones If you have the typical medium to dusky Indian skin, you can carry this one, but this is not something that you will love to wear every day. You can save this for those special occasions where you need some extra color for your cheek. The good thing is it is blendable and buildable.
Texture and Pigmentation: The blush has a very velvety, soft, powdery finish. I absolutely loved its silky texture. It is matte, but not too powdery or dry. It blends beautifully on the skin. It does not leave any chalky feel, never highlights pores and wrinkles and does not even make the area patchy and oily. If you can blend the product nicely, this just feels like your skin. It never feels patchy or cakey. It never highlight the dry patches or pores.
When blended perfectly, this gives the most natural look ever. The pigmentation is pretty good and is buildable which amazing. When a blush is heavily pigmented, the brush picks up too much product, but there is no such problem with this one. It blends effortlessly and gives a “barely there” look when you use it first. You can slowly build it up to get more color or leave it to get the most natural look. As the application is not patchy, it looks good in both ways.
When carefully applied, this color gives a good flush of color, without looking too much or extra. For this color, dusting off the excess from the brush before applying and building it up slowly is the key. If you are careful and cautious, you can carry the shade. Also, if you have a pale blush that does not show up on your skin, this one can be mixed with that to make the color visible and bright.
It stays perfectly for really long without being affected by your sweating. It definitely fades a little after really long time, but it never vanishes completely and never looks uneven. It is easily removed by good makeup removers.
