I am kind of obsessed with the Kryolan Contour Pencils. They have great color payoff and can be used as lip liners, lipsticks, eye pencils and even eyeshadow bases. Last year, I bought 6 colors from the range. This one is a new launch and, as I love anything brown, I decided to get this one too.

My Experience with Kryolan Contour Pencil 901:
Packaging:
Well, there is nothing fancy about the packaging. The product is a basic wooden pencil with a silver body and cap and a color-coded base. The pencil is very long. It is sharpenable, which I think is more hygienic. Although there is product wastage as the pencil is very soft you may need to sharpen it twice while applying. I think it is okay for a cheap, affordable pencil like this.
Shade:
This is a very deep brown shade with a hint of grey in it. I am a sucker for brown lip liners. Since I have very pigmented lips with no prominent lower lip line, I love having something to do the job. Now, most nude or brown lip liners are lighter than my lip color. This one is more than perfect in that sense. It also shows up as brown on my already dark brown eyelids. Now, how cool is that? For me, it is the perfect deep brown pencil. It can be a little too dark for fair skinned beauties.
Texture and Staying Power:
The texture of this pencil is soft and creamy. If you apply pressure, it breaks. You have to be very careful and gentle about using it. You can actually keep it in the fridge for a few hours before applying to prevent breakage. It glides like a dream on the lips and does not make them dry or patchy at all. I have also noticed the fading of lip wrinkles after applying this and slowly your pout starts looking fuller.
I generally do not use any lip pencil separately as with this one, it does the work itself. The color is very creamy matte initially that may get smudged. But with time it gets drier. However, it always feels soft and moisturizing on the lips. It stays on for 7-8 hours without any noticeable fading. It does transfer a bit on coffee cups and the color may fade a little from the mid lips. However, it still looks just like before.
Pigmentation:
The pigmentation is insane. It covers all the lip pigmentation in one go. My upper lip is highly pigmented. When I apply this, both the lips look uniform after a single coating of color. I generally use an oil-based cleanser to remove the product completely.
Overall:
I am in love with this. I have found the perfect brown color for myself and I am super happy about it. Also, I have not used it as a contour shade yet but this may work great for contouring the nose.
