Kryolan LC004 Lipstick Review

Kryolan products are ruling my vanity at present. I guess I have most of their orange lipsticks now. The sales assistant there added orange lipsticks in all the possible hues and intensities to my list. Few of the shades has become an instant hit with me, and a few shades needed some convincing from inside to sport them. I wish I was actually present at the store to pick up more shades (I just can’t get enough of orange lipsticks).

So today I will be reviewing another Kryolan lipstick in the shade LC004.

My Experience with Kryolan LC004 Lipstick:

Kryolan lipstick comes in a silver-greyish packaging with the company name written on its cap. The cap closes securely making it travel friendly. But the packaging on a whole is quite dull and boring, nothing too catchy about it. The shades are known by their respective numbers, which add to a lot of confusion when you are trying to pick the shade you are looking for in your makeup stash or in case you go to the store to pick up a lipstick, as you may not remember the shades you already have and may land up picking up the same shade. The shade number is mentioned on the sticker at the bottom of the lipstick.

The shade LC004 is a milky pale orange shade, without any shimmer or sheen. Neither is this color bright nor dull. It is a neutral shade that will look dull and give a tired look to the face if worn alone. But it will complement a heavy eye makeup look beautifully. This shade will look great on fair and medium skinned ladies and might wash out dark complexioned beauties. So, if you are looking for a lip color that will brighten up your face, then steer away from this color.

The texture of this lipstick is smooth and creamy. The creamy texture makes the lipstick glide on the lips easily without any pulling or tugging. The creaminess is forgiving on dry lips, so you can skip a lip balm underneath the lipstick. This color settles to a semi-matte finish after a while, but doesn’t dry out the lips. Though it is non-drying, it isn’t hydrating either.

Pigmentation of this lipstick is really good, one swipe renders rich, opaque color to the lips. But since this is a light shade, you need a couple more swipes to build up the color and intensity on the lips. This creamy color doesn’t bleed, but you do have minimal transfer of color.

Staying power of this lipstick is good, it lasts for a good 4-5 hours on the lips. This color fades away gradually and evenly and does not leave any stain behind. The bad part is that this lipstick doesn’t survive meals. It totally vanishes off your lips on eating or drinking something.

The faint vanilla smell of this lipstick fades away within a few minutes of wear, which is a plus point for people with a sensitive nose.

• Color might not suit dark complexioned beauties.
• Dull, boring packaging.
• Lipsticks have no shade name, but only shade number making it confusing.
• Transfers a little.
• Doesn’t survive a meal.

Would I recommend Kryolan LC004 Lipstick?

Overall, Kryolan lipstick in the shade LC004 is a milky pale orange shade that might not work for everyone. In case you are someone who does a lot of bold eye makeup looks then this shade will be a perfect neutral shade to complement your eye look. If you are looking for good budget lipsticks, then you should definitely get one of these Kryolan lipsticks because the quality you get for the price you pay is superb!!!
