Hi to all lovely ladies,

Today, I am going to share my thoughts on the Kryolan lip pencil. I always bought budget-friendly lip liners for the thought of it going to be topped up with a lipstick later. I wanted to widen my collection of lip liners from browns and pinks, so went ahead and bought a vivid red orange colour. Kryolan has a wide range of collection of lip pencils from reds, pinks and browns. Read on to know how much the Kryolan lip pencil fared on me.

Product Description:

Packaging:

The kryolan lip pencil comes in a silver-colored long sleek body with the name engraved in silver.  The cap is a small bullet type metal which has a pointed end. The cap gets stuck tight, you need to put a little pressure to open it. There is no name to identify the shades, just numbers. The colour of the lip pencil can be identified easily with the help of colour demarcation at the end of the pencil.

Colour:

The shade of the Kryolan lip pencil in 908 is a bright orange red. The colour is vivid and intense. The shade is bright but definitely not neonish.

This is how the tip looks after sharpening.  When I start swatching a few strokes, the tip starts breaking, the pencil is that creamy.

Texture and Pigmentation:

The texture of the lip pencil is smooth and it is creamy enough to glide well on the lips. It is quite soft so tends to crumble during application immediately after sharpening the pencil. The product gets wasted while sharpening as it is too creamy. It is well pigmented and the finish is completely matte.

The Kryolan lip pencil being matte will accentuate dry areas of the lips. It is quite preferable to moisturize lips before applying these. I would use it all over the lips as a base for my lipsticks, so the problem of dryness accentuating my lips will not arise. I loved the shade but it is dry to be worn alone but can be topped with a sheer gloss. The staying power of the Kryolan lip liner would be around 4 hours on my lips.

Pros of Kryolan Lip Pencil in 908:

• Coloured ends of the packaging help to locate them easily.
• Matte finish.
• Price.
• Prolongs wear time of the lipsticks.
• Pretty shade.

Cons of Kryolan Lip Pencil in 908:

• The wood doesn’t feel smooth when sharpening, it breaks abruptly.
• The pencil tip breaks easily, for one lip application, I need to sharp three times resulting in so much of product wastage. The only choice I am left to use up this pencil is to apply with a blunt tip, slightly sharp edge also it breaks.
• Sharpening the product is a pain – too much of product wastage while sharpening as the product is very creamy.

Would I Repurchase Kryolan Lip Pencil in 908?

No, this product did not really satisfy me. I am quite disappointed and will not recommend it to you all.
