I had tried Kryolan lip stain in the shade “Rock” a year ago and I loved it so much that I used it up completely. I tried to try some new shades from this range and this shade “Ambient” looked quite unique. Read the details of this shade further in this review.

My Experience with Kryolan Lip Stain Ambient:

The product comes in the usual blue Kryolan paper carton packaging. It has all the details about the product on it. The lip stain comes in a glass tube with a silver cap. The cap has the Kryolan logo embossed in it. The glass tube is transparent, so you can easily identify the product in your stash. The shade name is mentioned in the bottom of the tube.

The round, slim, spongy applicator brings out the right amount of product each time. You need to build up the color slowly and that is okay as there is a high chance of going overboard. I need to bring out the product thrice to get complete coverage on my heavily pigmented lips. Also, the shape of the applicator helps to apply the product precisely, which is again important, as it is a stain and removing it can be tough if it gets applied outside the lip line.

“Ambient” is a deep berry red color that looks great on every skin tone. This is a pretty unique shade and I totally love this one. It will look very deep on fairer skin tones. It is best for medium to dusky toned beauties. It is a great shade for evening parties. Although the color is deep, it is never overpowering. So, you can easily pair this with bold eye looks too.

The product has a mousse-y texture and feels absolutely lightweight on the lips. It has a smooth, soft and non-sticky kind of a finish. I love how it glides on the lips and gives complete coverage without giving any cakey feel. It gives complete coverage to even super pigmented lips. It does not make the lips dry. However, I prefer using it after applying some balm or makeup oil on the lips and the result is absolutely perfect. Also, using a lip liner is a good idea as creating a perfect shape suing this can be challenging at times.

It has a faint chemical fragrance that fades away as soon as you apply it, so that is definitely not a concern for me. This stays on and on without any transfer or smudging. It does not settle into fine lines and never flakes. It survives food, water and kisses, so this product is must on those special, romantic date nights. :p You will need a good oil-based makeup remover to remove this and after removing, the lips feel a little dry. But that is nothing to worry about as we know the power of Boroline.
