A couple of days ago, I reviewed the Faces Canada Metaliglow in Opal. Somehow, it could not win my heart. But this product, though very similar to Metalliglow, is very unique and lovely in its own right. This is called a foundation but can be called a highlighting base or even a liquid highlighter. This is available in more than 5 shades but this one really caught my attention.

My Experience with Kryolan Pearl Shimmering Event Foundation:
I had to travel to Mumbai Kryolan city to buy this. Most of the shades were out of stock. They do have coppery and bronzy shades but this one is really a nice neutral base for foundations. The pump bottle is sturdy and easy to use. The color is pearly and has very fine minute shimmer particles. The shimmer initially does not show up but later when it slightly fades, the shimmer comes to the fore. The shimmer is not gritty at all. The foundation feels very smooth and blends evenly.
The best way to use this would be, as a base over the face and then use a light foundation. Secondly, use this by mixing it with your foundation to get a glowy look. Dry skin would love this for sure. For spot highlighting like cheeks, this can be tricky, as this might blend more than you need.
Lasting power is fairly well for my oily skin, 4-5 hours but dry skin would get better results. The glow is really nice and even, it is not over the top. Though, it might enhance the pores slightly, but using this with a foundation will solve the purpose.

• Not ideal for highlighting cheek bones etc.
