Polyester glimmer is a stunning product for creating beautiful, sparkling effects on body and hair. It can be applied directly to the skin or on top of Multi gel, Hydro Spirit gum or Supracolor for longer lasting effects. It is available in 3 gradients of particle size from fine to coarse.
My Experience with Kryolan Polyester Glimmer Bright Red:
Packaging: The glitters come in a small, plastic, transparent, round pot with a transparent lid. There is a hole in the pot that helps you to get out the glitter. The lid shuts pretty tightly and the lightweight pot is very travel friendly. The shade name and other details are mentioned at the bottom of the pot. Due to the transparent packaging, you can know the colour from outside too. The packaging is nothing luxurious, but it is definitely very user-friendly. However, the hole that’s there could have been a bit smaller because I always end up bringing a lot out than what I need and putting all that glitter back into the pot is always tough! ☹
Texture: These glitters have a very fine texture. The fine glitters adhere to the skin easily without the help of any carrier or mixing medium. The shimmer is perfect and it gives a royal finish to the product.
Color: This bright, gorgeous red glitter can make heads turn. This is a really bold color and will look very striking. I think this one is more suitable for women of color while the “Pastel Red” that Chayanti reviewed a few days ago would look better on fairer skin tones. You can add it on your red lipstick to make it shine like never before. You can also use it as eyeshadow or a bright eyeliner, but it is bold and you will have to stop thinking about “what will everyone say” before you use this one.
Staying Power: It may get displaced if used alone and I don’t think you want to take that kind of a risk with shimmers. This stays in place when used with any mixing medium (I use Inglot Duraline) or glue. It is not messy post application. The fall out during application can be taken care by using cello tapes. Cello-tape can be used to remove the glitters also and then you just have to swipe of a good oil-based cleanser (I use a coconut oil-castor oil mixture) to clean everything without any residue sticking to your skin. The product is very comfortable and lightweight too. It sits easily on the skin without causing any heaviness or discomfort. The product did not cause any irritation on the eyes either and that is definitely a plus point if you have sensitive skin.
Overall, I am amazed by the product quality. It is quite cheap and the finish is really professional. I will love creating multiple eye makeup looks using this bright red glitter.
