Today I am here with my first lipstick from Kryolan. I picked this from the Kryolan store some time back. Their lipsticks are basically classified into three categories as Classic, Fashion and Pearl. I got one from the Fashion range LF 425.

Packaging: It comes in a silver grey metallic outer cover with a shiny silver lining and of course the Kryolan hologram on top of it. It closes firmly with a click sound. Packaging is simple, subtle and travel friendly.

My take on Kryolan Professional Lipstick in LF 425:

I tried a lot of lipsticks before short-listing this shade. This shade is neither too dark nor light, it is medium tone shade that will suit mostly all skin tones. It is an all-purpose shade, apply it with a light hand and you will get a beautiful everyday colour.

This lipstick glides smoothly on lips and hides pigmentation in just one swipe. The color payoff is too good. You need to be careful while applying this because even a slight shiver in your hand will be very noticeable. So it’s better to line your lipstick with a lip liner first or apply this using a brush.

The shade looks like a dark taupe color in tube but when applied it comes out differently. The color gives a matte look on lips. The lipstick bullet has a very strong waxy smell, but thankfully the smell goes away when applied.

The staying power is pretty good. It stays for good 4-5 hours. I had my lunch with this on, and it sustained even that. The color faded a bit but it was totally wearable.

Pros of Kryolan Professional Lipstick in LF 425:

• Pretty shade, will suit all skin tones
• Very pigmented, just one swipe is enough to get the color.
• Decent staying power.
• Glides on smoothly, feels creamy but gives a matte finish.
• Easy on the pocket.

Cons of Kryolan Professional Lipstick in LF 425:

• Availability is the biggest issue with Kryolan products.
• Smells weird.
• There is no name for shade, just numbers

My recommendation: Yes. It’s a pretty shade that will work for almost everyone.

Will I repurchase? It will last long for me, but I will definitely buy other shades from Kryolan. They are budget friendly lipsticks and you can stock a lot of them.
