My Experience with Kryolan Satin Powder SP 444:

Packaging: The packaging of the satin powder is very similar to the glitter pots except for the fact that these come in cute, blue paper boxes. The shade and ingredient details are mentioned in the box. Also, the information is provided at the back of the plastic pot. These are grey plastic pots with a hole on the top and a transparent plastic cap. You can bring out the product through the hole in your palette or on the transparent cap and use it. The cap twists and closes perfectly and thus, it is super convenient for travels too, but please be careful while using it, as you may end up bringing out more product than needed.

Texture: The texture of this satin powder is indeed very satiny and smooth. It gets applied like a dream on the skin. One swipe of the product gives perfect color and coverage. I generally prefer applying concealer on my eyes and powder it well before applying the shadow. It has amazing color payoff when applied with a sponge applicator. With the brushes, the color needs to be built up gradually. On the lid, I generally use a sponge applicator to get very good coverage, but when used for highlighting the cupid’s brow, I use a brush to get a highlighting effect. It never shows any clumpy application on the eyes.

Color: First, I will apologize to you all as I won’t be able to describe the colour in words. I am trying my best though. It is a muted brownish yellow shade that looks super velvety and satiny (hope this makes some sense). It has a duochromatic effect making it perfect as a highlighter. It has no glitter and is not super shiny either. If you use it as a highlighter, it won’t go unnoticed. You can also use it as a transition shade and I am sure it will make your eye makeup look different as this shade is very rare and unique. I think it will look beautiful on girls with warm skin tone and the desi beauties will rock it perfectly.

Staying Power:  This color stays on the eyes for long. As it is powdery, there can be some fallout initially during application, but once it sets on the eyes, it stays for long. Also, I do not see any creasing. It may not get removed completely with water, so I generally use an oil-based remover to remove it in one swipe and in a hassle-free manner. Overall, I am pretty happy with the product. It is cost effective and the color is beautiful.

Pros of Kryolan Satin Powder SP 444:

  • Travel-friendly packaging.
  • Gorgeous yellowish shade that is unique and looks flattering.
  • Velvety, satin finish.
  • Minor shimmer particles are present.
  • Good coverage and color payoff.
  • Stays on for long without creasing.

Cons of Kryolan Satin Powder SP 444:

  • Loose powder can be a little problematic to apply initially and there can be fall outs.
  • You may end up bringing out too much product.
