Kryolan Translucent Powder Review
Hello Beauties,
Today, I will be reviewing a fab product from Kryolan. Kryolan is a 66 years old german manufacturers of makeup specializing in serving the film, television and theater industry. They have a huge range of products, everything and anything you can think of including fake blood!!
I have tried the famous TV Paint Stick foundation and Ultra Under Base and both are excellent! Coming back to this wonderful product, I was in search for a good translucent powder to set my foundation and under eye concealer and came across this wonderful product. The powder is extremely fine and goes smooth on the face. This does not only help in setting my foundation and under eye concealer, but also makes it last really really long. The maximum time it lasted on me was 8 hours!! It also keeps the skin matte and oil free for 4 to 5 hours easily. The best part about this powder is that it really makes your foundation/concealer to appear natural. I regularly use it to set my MAC Select CoverUp Concealer and it makes it appear so natural! I can truly see the difference.
The SAs at the Kryolan Store in Mumbai are extremely helpful and gave me a perfect match for my NC42 skin. The shade I have is TL9 and it matches my skin tone to the T. I believe this shade will suit NC40+ skin tones easily as it goes very sheer and does not give any kind of coverage, but as the name says, its translucent and just brighten’s up the skin. The only part of dislike is the packaging as its bulky and tacky. One has to be a bit careful while dispensing the powder as sometimes too much product comes out and results in a lot of wastage. Also, availability is a problem as it is available in a few cities only like Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai.
The quantity of the powder given is 60 gm which is huge and I don’t think I can ever finish off the product 😛 Also, another good thing about Kryolan products is that their expiry date is usually 4 years after their manufacturing which is reasonably good if compared to other products in the market.
