L.A. Colors Cranberry Red Purely Matte Lipstick Review

Hope you all are doing well! I’m here to review a lipstick from L.A. Colors. I love lip products, hence I picked a few lipsticks. Let’s see how this one fares!

My Experience with L.A. Colors Cranberry Red Matte Lipstick:

The packaging looks very similar to Jordana lipsticks. The bullet is silver and has black details showing the name of the product. The cap is transparent allowing you to see the shade clearly. The sticker on the cap displays the ingredients list and the shade name and number. The cap fits very well and it shuts with an audible click. The lipstick bullet also has a locking mechanism, which is great. The lipstick however doesn’t swivel fully inside the bullet, so you have to be careful while closing it, because it might damage the lipstick tip otherwise. The packaging is convenient and travel friendly, but at the same time very dull and boring.

The color as the name suggests, is a cranberry shade – a mix of red with hints of pink. It is a great shade for winters but you can wear it any time of the year. I love the shade, it’s really very pretty. The pigmentation is decent and you can build it up in 2-3 swipes. The lipstick doe stain the lips pretty heavily.

I quite like how smooth and creamy this lipstick is. It glides on very easily without tugging or pulling and moisturizes the lips well. It doesn’t feel heavy after application and doesn’t look cakey when layered on. After 4 hours though, your lips do feel a bit dry. It becomes transfer proof after you blot it out with a tissue paper.

Unlike some of the lipsticks that I have used from LA Colors, this one stays on the lips for a very long time, up to 6 hours easily. It does fade a bit when you eat/drink and mattifies completely.
