L. A. Colors Dandelion Eye Shadow Trio Review

Hello all!
Today’s review will be on another trio from L.A. Colors. I got 2 of these trios and after using them, I think I should have gotten more of these. But anyway, let’s get started with this review! 🙂

Shelf life: 36 months

My Experience with L. A. Colors Dandelion Eye Shadow Trio:

Packaging: This trio comes in a simple plastic packaging. The plastic flap is transparent which enables you to see the trio. The back is black in color and has the name and ingredients list mentioned. The flap opens and shuts with an audible click. The packaging is sleek and travel friendly. But it isn’t that sturdy. If it falls, it can break easily. The eye shadows have a nice flower print on them which makes them look super cute.

Color/Pigmentation: I love how color coordinated these shadows are. The trio contains perfect colors to do one makeup look. Obviously you can mix and match the shadows, but what I’m trying to say is, if you’re going for a particular look then this trio is sufficient. There aren’t any names or numbers given to these eye shadows individually, so we’ll just call them shade 1, 2 and 3.

Shade 1: I thought this would be a gold eye shadow. But instead it is a yellow eye shadow with fine gold shimmer. It’s basically a lemon- yellow color which is cool toned. I would have liked it if it was a gold shadow, but never mind. 🙂

Shade 2: This is a proper copper color which would look super gorgeous on Indian Skin tones. It’s a warm shade which has some orange hints to it. It’s a pretty shade!

Shade 3: This shade is a pretty unique shade. It is dark green color, almost like mehendi green color and has very fine shimmers to it. It’s again a warm toned color that would look amazing on Indian Skin tones.

Pigmentation of these shadows is good and you can easily build it up. Except for the Shade 1 I think the rest of the shades might suit all skin tones.

Texture: These eye shadows are super smooth and glide on easily. There is very little fall out in case you swatch a bit heavily. The eye shadows blend in very easily too. They do not crease on the eye lids even if used without a primer. The shimmers are very finely milled so you do not feel them at all! 🙂

Staying Power: These shadows stay on for about 3 hours. They have pretty average staying power. But when applied with a primer, it can help increase the staying power.

  1. These are not my kind of shades, but look really pigmented and smooth. Also, I demand more staying power from my eyeshadows. :/
