L.A. Colors Eternal Flame Lip Duo Review

Hello all,

I am loving red lipsticks a lot lately, hence I have added quite a lot of reds in my collection. This one is my latest purchase. Let’s see how this one fared for me.

My Experience with L.A. Colors Eternal Flame Lip Duo:

Packaging: This lip duo comes in a flimsy packaging of clear plastic. On one side, there’s a lipstick and the opposite side is a matching gloss. The lipstick doesn’t fully go inside the bullet hence there are chances of it getting nipped at the sides. Since the packaging is transparent, you can easily spot the shade of the lipstick.

Color:  “Eternal Flame” is a nice festive red shade. It does look like a pinkish red colour in different lighting, but it is a gorgeous red shade. The gloss too is a similar red shade but it is less pigmented. The lipstick though is nicely pigmented. You would need about 2-3 coats for an opaque finish.

Texture: The texture of this lipstick is really creamy and very smooth. It feels like you are applying a lip balm. It is very comfortable on the lips and won’t dry out your lips further. It doesn’t look matte or shiny. It has a soft satin finish to it.

As time progresses, this lipstick will settles to a semi-matte finish. The texture of the gloss too is creamy. The gloss isn’t very sticky. I like the gloss too. It’s nice to add extra shine on the lips sometimes.

Staying Power:  The lipstick alone would stay up to 5 hours. It does fade away easily if you are talking or eating. You need to reapply it very 3-4 hours. If you add the gloss as well, the staying power comes down to 3-4 hours. It does transfer easily if you use the gloss or otherwise.
