L.A Colors has recently launched their collections in India and I bought a couple of lipsticks. Today, I am reviewing the L.A Colors Moisture Cream Lipstick in the shade Heavenly. Read on to know more.

My Experience with L.A. Colors Heavenly Moisture Cream Lipstick:
Packaging:
The lipstick comes in a long black and peach tube with a clear cap. I always love such color-coded tubes as they are easy to find. The tube looks same as their matte lipsticks, just that this one has a glossy outer packaging. It looks nice but the bullet doesn’t go inside properly, so it might get damaged. Hence, I always need to close the cap carefully. Otherwise, it is safe to carry around. According to the quality, it is an affordable lipstick.
Shade:
This cream lipstick range offers so many beautiful shades and Heavenly is a beautiful warm peach shade that looks very fresh and summery on the lips. It slightly washes out my medium skin tone but I am sure it will look nice with perfect makeup. Still, this shade is best for fair to medium skin tones and will wash out dusky beauties.
I personally never mind carrying such nice shades on my tanned skin, so I am quite happy to have it. It contains some fine golden shimmer in it which provides a nice shine without looking over the top. I am not a fan of shimmer, though. The shade is well pigmented and maximum two swipes are required for the perfect color pay off. It can hide pigmented lips, too.
Texture and Quality:
The lipstick has a smooth texture that glides nicely on the lips and provides an even application. This lipstick is not super creamy but I was expecting it to be quite creamy. Hence, a little pressure is required during application. Even the L.A. Colors Matte Lipstick range works better than this. Also, heavy layers make this lipstick a little sticky or heavy. Otherwise, once it settles down, it feels quite comfortable on the lips. It doesn’t cling to dry patches.
It has a perfect velvety and shiny finish that looks amazing on the lips. The finish is not super creamy; it is more like a creamy-matte finish. Its non-drying texture keeps my lips soft and moisturised but my lips start to feel dry after around 3-4 hours. Since it’s a creamy lipstick, it does transfer but not too much, hence the color doesn’t look faded. Once it settles down properly it stays nicely and doesn’t smudge. It has a mild smell which won’t bother anyone.
Staying Power:
This shade, Heavenly, stays decently for around 5 hours on my lips. It can survive a normal light lunch, too. After a heavy lunch, though, it looks a little fade, which is pretty common. It never looks messy and never feels dry. It settles slightly into the fine line at times but not too much. It is easy to remove also.
Overall:
This is a pretty shade for summers and the color stays on my lips nicely, but I feel this lipstick is not as creamy as the name indicates.
