My Experience with L. A. Colors Iced Pigment Powder Glitzy:

Starting with the packaging of product. The powder pigment comes in a small squarely shaped transparent jar. The jar closes with a color-coded metallic finish screw on lid. The lids of these pigments look really cute and beautiful. They make the packaging look attractive. The lid bears the brand’s tagline on it in simple white fonts. There is a small label at the base of the jar bearing the shade name, number and other necessary details about the product. The pigment jar has a sieve like safety cover to prevent the blowing away of the product. Overall, the packaging is good, lightweight and travel-friendly.

The shade “Glitzy” is a pretty pink shade with silver microshimmers in it. The shimmers in the pigment are not too big and hence, they do not look chunky but yes, they are easily noticeable. This shade is flattering for very fair to medium fair skin tones only. It might look ashy or silvery kind on deeper complexions. This is a fresh summery color and it looks lovely on the eyes. The shade is not too bold and dramatic. It can be used to create subtle eye makeup looks. The shimmers also do not look OTT. The pigment is decent in terms of pigmentation, but I felt that other variants from this range have better pigmentation than this one. It can be used both wet and dry. Using it with a damp eye shadow brush makes the color look intense and more beautiful. Two-three swipes are needed for building up the normal dry pigment on the eyes.

The texture is soft and smooth. It is easy to blend. It goes effortlessly on the eyes and looks even. The formula is really lightweight and comfortable. Since this is a powder pigment, it causes a little fallout. So, I always remove the excess amount in the brush by tapping it to prevent messing my eye area. It feels silky smooth while blending the color. The finish of the pigment is frosty. It gives nice dimension to the eye makeup. It blends easily with other eye shadows as well. It never gets patchy. It does not have creasing issues.

The longevity of the eye shadow pigment is somewhere around 6 hours on my eyelids. Removing it is slightly difficult as the shimmers are hard to remove. Overall, I am happy with the quality of product considering its price tag.
