Hi all,
Today, I will be sharing with you all an eyeshadow palette from LA Colors. I got 5 of these palettes and I’m super happy with my purchase. Let’s review this palette!
Price:
I got it for just a dollar!
Ingredients:
My Experience with L.A. Colors Tea Time 5-Color Metallic Eyeshadow Palette:
Packaging: This eye shadow palette comes in a black plastic packaging with a clear plastic lid. You can easily spot these palettes due to the clear plastic. It also comes with a dual-ended brush. The back side of the palette shows the ingredients list and some other information. The packaging isn’t that sturdy, so you have to be careful about it. Overall, it is sleek and convenient.
Colors/Pigmentation: These shadows do not have any name to them, so we will just refer to them as shade 1, 2 etc.
Shade 1: This is a soft muted gold. It’s a very unique shade. It’s a beautiful, every day color and I’ll get a lot of use out of this shade for sure.
Shade 2: This shade is a soft beige-gold color, more like a subtle creamy-gold color. This can be used as a brow bone highlight or in the inner corners of the eyes.
Shade 3: This is my second favorite shade out of this palette. It’s a light copper-gold color. I love this color as it flatters my skin tone very well.
Shade 4: This is a light taupe color which doesn’t show up on my skin no matter how many layers I pile on! Nevertheless, it’s a beautiful color that would look good on fair and dark skin tones.
Shade 5: This is my favorite color of this palette. It’s a deep taupe-brown shade. It’s a super gorgeous shade and I really love this color very much!
These shades are very nicely pigmented and you do not need a lot of the eye shadow except shade #4. A little goes a long way. They can be easily built up.
Texture: What I like about this palette is the smooth and creamy texture of the eyeshadows. They blend in very easily and do not crease on the lids. The eye shadows aren’t that powdery and there is just a tiny bit fallout, but for just a dollar, I think that’s really bearable!
Staying Power: These shadows last on my lids for about 4 hours without a primer. I guess a primer would increase the staying power by 1-2 hours at least.
Summing up the pros and cons:
Pros of L.A. Colors Tea Time 5-Color Metallic Eyeshadow Palette:
- Super cheap and affordable price.
- Lovely, earthy colors.
- Wearable colors, would suit Indian skin tones.
- Comes with a dual-end brush.
- Sleek packaging.
- Nice texture.
- Staying power.
Cons of L.A. Colors Tea Time 5-Color Metallic Eyeshadow Palette:
- Fallout issue.
- One or two shades are a bit powdery.
- Not easily available in India, and even if it’s available, the prices are hiked!
IMBB Rating:
4/5
Final Verdict:
I love this palette as this is the perfect one to create everyday looks and it’s just a dollar! So, I will definitely recommend this to you!
