Today, I am reviewing the L.A. Colors Whirlwind Matte Lipstick. I’ve already reviewed the shades ‘Tender’ and ‘In Love’. This is one of the prettiest shades in this range. Read on to know more about it.

My Experience with L.A. Colors Whirlwind Matte Lipstick:

Packaging:
The lipstick comes in a long black and pink tube with a clear cap. I always love color coded tubes as they are easy to find. The packaging looks nice but the bullet doesn’t go inside properly, so it might get damaged. Hence, I always have to close the cap carefully. Otherwise, it is safe to carry around. According to the quality, it is an affordable matte lipstick.

Shade:
This matte lipstick range offers 16 beautiful shades and I picked up a couple of them. This ‘Whirlwind’ is a beautiful warm bright pink shade. On my lips, it looks like a poppy pink with a hint of coral. It is a very pretty shade that complements most of the skin tones, and on my medium skin tone, it looks quite nice.

This is also my favorite shade from this range. It looks well with any makeup and it is a perfect girly shade for college-goers. I love this shade as it instantly brightens up my face. It doesn’t contain any shimmers in it. Also, the shade is well pigmented and needs maximum two swipes for the perfect color pay off. It can also hide pigmented lips.

Texture and Quality:
The lipstick has a smooth and soft texture that glides easily on the lips and provides an even application. It feels light and super soft on the lips and never looks patchy. It doesn’t cling to my dry patches and feels quite comfortable on the lips. It has a perfect velvety matte finish that looks amazing on the lips. Its non-drying matte texture keeps my lips soft and moisturized for long.

It’s a good, non-drying matte lipstick. Most matte lipsticks tend to make my lips dry but this one keeps my lips soft throughout the day. After 5-6 hours, it feels slightly dry but that doesn’t bother me much. Initially, it does transfer, but once it settles down properly, it stays nicely on the lips without transferring or smudging. This shade has a mild scent which doesn’t bother me much.

Staying Power:
This shade lasts pretty long on my lips, i.e. around 6-7 hours. It can even survive a meal as well. After a heavy oily meal, it fades a little, which is pretty common. It never looks messy and never feels dry. It settles slightly into the fine lines of the lips by the end of the day but never looks bad. It is easy to remove as well.

Overall:
I feel this shade has the best texture in this matte range and it works really well for me. This bright pink shade looks gorgeous on me. This pretty pink shade has influenced me to go back my cute lipstick shades zone.
