My Experience with L.A. Girl Aquatic Gel Glide Eyeliner Pencil:
Let’s begin with the packaging of the product. The eyeliner comes in a matte black colored sharpenable pencil. This matte black pencil has color-coded patterns and fonts printed all over it. The white fonts on the matte black pencil look very bright and are easily readable. The pencil has a clear cap, that does not shut very tightly. Hence, it is necessary to shut the cap tightly, as it slips off easily. This is sharpenable pencil, that needs to be sharpened, after every use to get a fresh pointed tip. However, they have not attached any sharpener attached with it. Overall, the packaging is fine and travel friendly.
The shade “Aquatic” is a nice sea blue shade, with some pastel hints. This shade is quite different and I absolutely love it. I had reviewed the shade “Mermaid Blue” earlier, that has silvery finish in it, while this one is just opposite to it. The eyeliner is free from any shimmers or glitters. There is no sheen in the eyeliner and it sets to a pretty matte finish. The eyeliner has a decent pigmentation. It shows gorgeous color in just one swipe. I apply a second coat, to make the color intense and bright.
The texture of the eyeliner is nice. The liner feels very smooth and creamy in texture. Though, it has smoother texture, but the tip of the eye pencil is firm enough and does not break easily, even if a little pressure is applied, while applying the eyeliner on the eyes. It glides easily and smooth on the eyelids, without any tugging or pulling of my delicate eye area. The eyeliner sets to a perfect matte finish.
There is no sheen or shimmers in this eyeliner. The formula is lightweight and safe for contact lens wearers. It never irritated my sensitive eye area. The color is easily buildable on my upper lash line, lower lash line and my waterline too, unlike the other shimmery variants I own. It glides evenly on the eyelids and never gets patchy. The pencil is waterproof and smudge-proof. No matter how many times it comes contact with water, it stays at place without budging. It does not have that tendency to crease.
The lasting power of this eye pencil is good. It stays on my eyes for more than 6 hours. But, the color fades away from my waterline after 5 hours or so.
There were not any heavy smudging issues with this eyeliner. There is minimal fading of color from waterline. The eyeliner is easy to remove. Overall, I am totally in love with eye pencil.
